PENTAIR - Hydrocarbon Recovery Technology

Hydrocarbon Recovery Technology (HRT) provides petroleum producers, refiners, and gas processors with dramatically improved solids control and hydrocarbon recovery from process water streams. HRT affords proven performance while eliminating the need for expensive excess processing, chemical additives, and storage tank capacity. With hydrocarbon recovery efficiencies of 99.98%, HRT produces a sellable product, balancing or even outweighing operating costs and capital investment.

PENTAIR LiquiSep - Liquid Separation Technology

LiquiSep technology has been implemented specifically to help separate emulsions that are not separable by conventional coalescers. Conventional coalescers are unable to provide the degree of clarity associated with LiquiSep technology due to the inability to capture and remove the most penetrating droplets that cause carry-over. LiquiSep can separate these dispersed and emulsified droplets from the hydrocarbon to practically non-detectable levels. Advances in the technology now permit horizontal installations, further reducing capital cost. The effluent from a typical LiquiSep separation consists of two separate phases: one phase is a clear product hydrocarbon stream, and the second phase is a clear product aqueous stream.

Polarex extraction systems have been developed utilizing Pentair Polarex Technology to create a single-stage, high-efficiency, structured contactor/separator. Saving end-users capital while increasing process reliability, greater operability and product quality.

PENTAIR ProcessOR - Separator Vessel

The ProcessOR is a superior separator vessel often used for particle/liquid filtration or separation. It is available to be delivered as a self-contained skid (pictured) or a stand-alone vessel. It is also available custom-sized as a capital sale or as a turn-key rental, which is often available within days of the received order.

PENTAIR UltiSep - Gas-Liquid Separators

UltiSep flows from the inside-to-the-outside, reducing the gas velocity as the droplets are being removed. Capital costs are directly related to the size of the housings required for a particular gas flow rate. An evaluation of the factors affecting vessel sizing indicated that the annular space surrounding the exterior of the element is a key variable in the design. The annular space controls the annular velocity of the treated gas. If this annular velocity exceeds certain critical thresholds, the gas will re-entrain or shatter droplets that are not adequately being drained from the system. In a system using conventional cylindrical elements, the annular velocity of the exiting gas increases along the element with a maximum velocity at the closed end of the element.

PENTAIR InterSep - High Performance Separation System

The InterSep high performance separation system is designed and manufactured to separate particulate contaminants from natural gas and vapor streams. Preventing fouling and corrosion in dry gas streams, coal seam gas and fuel gas, for example, is critical to protect pipelines, valves and other gas processing equipment.

PENTAIR Compax - Conventional Cartridge Filters

The major innovation in COMPAX is its elegant simplicity. It consists of two parts: the COMPAX coreless elements and the reusable core. The reusable COMPAX core is semi-permanently installed into the existing filter vessel without the need for special tools. After installation of the cores, the open end of the COMPAX cartridge slides down over the length of the core and engages a positive sealing O-ring to integrally seal the filter and core together. The reusable cores have standard collapse ratings of 75 or 150 psi, depending on the series and material of construction. Higher collapse ratings are available upon request.

PENTAIR Apex - Liquid Level Aerosol

Pentair Apex Element is designed to maintain consistent annular velocities throughout its height. This is achieved by gradually widening the outer annular space from bottom to top, aligning with the gas flow as it exits the element. The Apex element technology was integrated into UltiSep, further enhancing separator performance with efficiencies exceeding 99.97%. APEX+ represents the latest advancement in optimizing these separation technologies.
