Identification and Enumeration: Phytoplankton are identified and counted to Division, Genus, or Species level using optically clear slide mounts. Algal concentration with or without biovolume (as specified by client) is determined. Typical turn-around time is 16 weeks, but samples can be expedited for an additional fee. Counts include permanent archival slides (3 per sample). The archival slides are generally stored at our facility, but can be shipped to the client upon request. Interpretations, extensive explanations, and modifications to the initial data or report are additional to sample analysis and are billed hourly.

Zooplankton concentration with or without biomass estimates (as specified by client) is determined. Typical turn-around time is 16 weeks, but samples can be expedited for an additional fee. Counts include permanent archival slides (1 per sample). If the samples are Daphnid dominated, we recommend three archival slides be prepared and used for counting at an additional cost. Please let us know if samples are Daphnid dominated if you request a quote. The archival slides are generally stored at our facility, but can be shipped to the client upon request.
