Self-cleaning filtration system consists of several filter units, each unit with comprised grooved discs to remove particles with a size bigger than the required filtration grade. Piedmont grooved discs combine on-surface filtration with in-depth filtration to achieve the maximum precision and safety in the filtration. The particles are rejected from the channel of the discs.

Piedmont offer automatic self-cleaning filters with a screen, which can remove impurities with a size bigger than the filtration grade. A drainage valve is equipped to the end cover of the filter. When start the filter, feed flow through the inlet to the inner screen surface, impurities continuously accumulated on the screen surface, which increasing the differential pressure between inner and outer screen. When the differential pressure meets the preset value 0.5bar (7psi), the pressure switch (PDS) send a signal to the controller to start back washing cycle, open the drainage valve and let the sewage out.

The non-metallic Style P plastic composite provides the ultimate corrosion resistance with adequate strength for a broad range of duty applications and throughout the low and moderate pressure range up to 6.9 bar (100 psig) to 13.8 bar (200 psig) depending on pipe size in the range of 2.5-inch to 8-inch nominal pipe size.

Style K coupling offers favorable corrosion resistance and represents an economical choice since it is constructed from 316 alloy. Better suited for brackish and fresh water, the Style K coupling will perform well under pressures between 300 & 450 psi.
