WaveVortex 10 Electrode Rotator - Compatible Electrodes - Rotating DIsk

E5 Fixed-Disk RDE Tips PTFE

These tips are designed for our customers who frequently switch between RDE and RRDE tips.  Because our E5 Series RDE tips are designed with the same thread connections as our E6 and E7 Series RRDE tips, all three tip designs (E5, E6, and E7) can be used with the same shaft.  Simply screw the tip on to the shaft, and it is ready to be rotated.  This shaft and tip RDE design allows you to use multiple RRDE and RDE tips with the same shaft.  These tips are most commonly used with the AFE6MB shaft (for the MSR rotator) or the AFE6A shaft (for the ASR rotator).  Designed for advanced electrochemical experiments (e.g., fuel cell electrocatalyst screening), these RDE tips provide the platform you need to accomplish your research goals.  Other disk materials can be found here, including various metals, alloys, and steels.

E5PK Fixed-Disk RDE Tips PEEK

These RDE tips feature a PEEK shroud which is designed for use over a wide range of temperatures (10°C to 80°C). This tough and chemically resistant shroud material is ideal for applications where the RDE tip undergoes routine thermal cycling.  These RDE tips have a 15.0 mm OD shroud and are designed with the same thread connections as our standard 15.0 mm OD RRDE tips, making it easy to switch between RDE and RRDE configurations using the same rotator shaft. Designed for experiments like fuel cell electrocatalyst screening, these RDE tips provide the platform you need to study catalyst behavior over a range of temperatures.  Other disk materials can be found here, including various metals, alloys, and steels.

Electrode Rotators - Modulated Speed Rotator (MSR) - Compatible Electrodes - Rotating Cylinder

12 mm Rotating Cylinder Electrode Tip

Ideal for corrosion studies, our 12 mm OD RCE tips accept cylinder inserts (sold separately) fabricated from just about any metal of interest.  Standard cylinder inserts offered by Pine Research include several varieties of steel; however, cylinders may be made from other materials upon request.  Alternately, cylinder inserts with the appropriate dimensions may be fabricated by the customer.  A mounting tool (sold separately) is required to change the cylinder. The screw-thread connection on the 12.0 mm OD RCE tip fits directly onto the permanent shaft of the CPR rotator.  These tips also fit the Pine MSR and ASR rotators when used with the appropriate shafts (see table below).

Precision 15 mm Single RCE Shaft

This precision shaft accepts 15.0 mm OD cylinder inserts (sold separately) and is usually shipped as part of a larger Rotating Cylinder Electrode (RCE) system.  This special shaft is intended for use in conjunction with our gas-purged bearing assembly (part number AC01TPA6M). This bearing assembly is tapered to fit into a standard 24/25 port on an electrochemical cell.  The outer diameter of the upper portion of this special shaft is machined to a very high tolerance so that it will mate properly with the inner diameter of our gas-purged bearing assembly. Each shaft is shipped with twenty (20) fluoroelastomer washers which are used to mount and seal the cylinder sample on the shaft.  Additional replacement washers are available separately.

Precision 15 mm Double RCE Shaft

This precision shaft accepts two 15.0 mm OD cylinder inserts (sold separately) where the lower cylinder is in electrical contact with the shaft and rotator while the upper cylinder can either be connected to the bottom (ring) port on the MSR Rotator or it can remain disconnected and electrically isolated from the shaft.
