The Rapid Angle Measurement (RAM) provides efficient and safe measurement of the internal angle of gyration in Superpave gyratory compactors according to AASHTO T 344.  Be confident your machine is compacting at the correct internal angle of gyration.

First, AASHTO T 312 requires it.  Annex A of AASHTO T 312 describes the equipment and procedures required to properly measure molds. Second, out-of-specification molds may cause density correlation problems that typically manifest themselves as high air void content.  High air void content may cause one to question gyratory compactor calibration and/or the mix design potentially costing one time and money.

Yes – you can replace that old paper-and-pen recorder on your 850 Test Press with a new digital recorder kit.  Here are a few features we think you’ll like. All data is captured electronically (no paper or pens). All data can be transferred to a computer via a USB flash drive. Includes Excel workbooks for Marshall and TSR test results. Data for the last 20 tests is stored internally. Peak Stability and associated Flow are displayed at the end of a test. Loads from 0 to 10,000 lbs. are run on one range (no range switch).
