NanXiang - Model NX-TPRQ - Plastic Q-pack Random Tower Packing for Wasted Water Treatment
Plastic Q-pack suitable for use in a lot of different potable water treatment processes, such as: Biological treatment Physical filtration Pre-treatment for desalination Drinking water treatment Q-pack's large pore volumes and surface areas make it an ideal media for biological treatment of drinking water. Bio film processes are excellent for treating raw water containing ammonia, manganese, iron etc. In conventional filtration processes Q-pack can be used in different ways. In dual media filters Q-pack can be used in combination with sand. Tests have shown that Q-pack operates as well as or better than traditional filter media in these types of filters. Q-pack can not only be used in traditional drinking water treatment, but also in treatment of saline water. In desalination plants one of the most important parts is the pre-treatment process. The wastewater goes through suspending media of MBBR reactor, forming biological membrane on the surface of mediagradually. With the action of microbial on the biological membrane, wastewater is purified. MBBR media can move freely in the reactor with the mixing of the water. For the aerobic reactor, the aeration will make the media move; for the anaerobic reactor, mechanic mixing will make the media move. Description Plastic Tri-Pac tower random packing, which is similar as polyhedral hollow ball packing, provides maximum surface contact between the gas and the scrubbing liquid by facilitating continuous formation of droplets throughout the packed bed. This result in high scrubbing efficiency, and minimizes total packing depth required. It can also prevent clogging, because there is no flat surface to harbor particulates. Tri-Pac tower packing eliminates puddling too. Because its free of corners and valleys, and minimizes wasteful liquid flow down the wall surface. Tri-pac further prevents dry spots and compression interlock, two phenomena common to traditional packing media. Both conditions cause liquid and air channeling and decrease media efficiency.

With over 300 mixing and redistribution points for both air and water per cubic foot of media, Bio-Pac is capable of redistributing wastewater every 2” of media depth. This feature makes Bio-Pac ideal for shallow trickling filters. Bio-Pac SF#30 has also been used extensively in upflow anaerobic and aerobic submerged bed reactors. Since the media floats, use of an underdrain support is eliminated. Furthermore, Bio-Pac’s unique shape serves as a foam breaker when installed in anaerobic reactors.
