Piramal’s in vitro Biology is designed to provide best in class support to our clients to enable their preclinical drug discovery, including assay development, hit identification, hit-to-lead and lead optimization, including HTS, multiplex assay development, primary/secondary functional assays, HCS, and selectivity. Our assay team can develop, and screen compounds, with miniaturization of assays achieved by using 96 and 384-well plates. Our assays are validated rigorously using tool compounds with QC established (signal: noise ratio; Z’-prime;uniformity; reproducibility).

In vitro facilities at PDS provide absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) services for faster and improved decision making points or standalone offering to support drug discovery programs. Cost-efficient, standardized and customized assays for ADME parameters are provided to the clients.

The analytical team collaborates with the chemists and lead method development, preparative purification and characterization, allowing the chemists to focus on trouble-shooting ensuring better efficiencies and faster deliveries.

We have been providing pharmaceutical intermediate and API process development services for nearly three decades, from our network of R&D and manufacturing facilities across the globe. Our synergistic model of delivery across Canada, India, and the UK combine the advantages of rapid drug development, proximity to markets, as well as flexible solutions. We have a team of over 200 process chemists and engineers across geographies, supported by an infrastructure of fume-hoods, kilo labs, state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation, along with GMP as well as non-GMP production areas.

By utilizing small quantities of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) or druggable candidates, our preformulation services can provide valuable information and expertise to guide the compounds towards the next steps.

We offer analytical support services for oral solids, liquids, creams, ointments and sterile injectable from our facilities in the US, UK, and India. The highly experienced analytical development team covers a wide range of analytical methods from small molecule analysis through to cell killing assays and ELISA development. We support the analytical development, validation, and quality control release testing needed to get ADC or bioconjugate to clinic or market, all at one location. We also offer method development and testing to characterize ADC or bioconjugate in all vital quality attributes.
