From experience we know that every application has its own specific requirements. Polem GRP storage tanks include detail engineering, manufacturing, transportation and installation of all components. Polem offers a wide range of diameters, volumes and accessories. GRP storage tanks from Polem have excellent properties ideal for storing fluids at industrial plants. Due to the application of GRP material, Polem GRP storage tanks are chemical and corrosion resistant, can be designed for high abrasive resistance and be used in highly aggressive environments, operating at temperatures varying from -40°C up to +120°C. Polem designs a ‘chemical barrier layer’ on the inside of the storage tank making the product state of the art in its class.

TÜV and Eurofins have unanimously rated Polem as positive! The Polem composite food silos comply with the applicable regulations and standards in the food industry (EU 10/2011 & EU 1935/2004). Thanks to the proven suitability in accordance with migration tests at TÜV and Eurofins, food producers are choosing to use the composite silos from Polem more and more often. Especially for the storage of products such as meal, flour, sugar, salt, starch, milk powder, cocoa and gluten.

Polem can also supply you with excellent standard or customised composite tanks for liquid products such as water, soya sauce, glucose, liquid starch, brine, oils and fats. These tanks can be supplied in both a vertical and a horizontal configuration and are also ideal for storing acids, bases and chlorides. Composite has good insulating properties so you save on your energy costs. Added to that, the seamless, smooth interior helps prevent attachment to the wall, so you also save on cleaning time and downtime.

To quickly load your spreaders, Polem supplies a wide range of standardised road salt silos, including drive-under supports. These composite silos with volumes of 20 - 250m³ are resistant to the aggressive properties of salt and are available in a number of standard diameters. Thanks to the high insulation value of composite, there is almost no condensation in the silo. This minimises the risk of bridging. In addition, the interior is smooth and seamless, resulting in an optimal product outflow.

In collaboration with a number of carefully selected partners, Polem develops composite salt dissolvers – also called brine creation systems – with capacities up to 15,000 litre/hour. In the future, unsaturated brine will be used more often for scattering and spraying. Thanks to this ‘new’ method of ice control measures, less salt will escape into the natural surroundings. Another advantage when spraying unsaturated brine is that it is no longer necessary to ‘run in’ the road, which is a particular advantage on cycle paths. In addition, the use of brine is mainly regarded as a means of realising preventative ice control measures. These salt dissolvers are available in a variety of diameters and models, with both manual and automatic controls.

You will need to store the brine created in the Polem salt dissolvers in relatively large storage tanks so that you always have a buffer in stock. To make this possible, Polem has a standardised range of composite tanks in vertical or horizontal models with volumes of 20 – 300m³. These tanks, available in a number of standard or customer-specific diameters, can be manufactured with double walls and can include leak detection, connections, pipes and supports. As with the silos, you can also opt for platforms, cage ladders, transfer platforms or other individual requirements.
