Wastewater Treatment- Municipal Wastewater Treatment
Pollution Control - Wastewater Treatment System
The above or below ground installed Eco-SAF Wastewater treatment system is based on proven biological Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF) technology and has been manufactured by us since 1996.
Wastewater Treatment- Commercial & Domestic Sewage Treatment
Pollution Control - Primary Settlement System
Primary settlement is the first major stage of the treatment process which is mainly to remove the bulk of the solids in the effluent before the Eco SAF treatment stage and usually consists of a primary tank. Other processes can be incorporated at the primary stage to improve the process, these can include a balance chamber to control the forward flow to the Eco-SAF module, manual or mechanical screening to assist in the removal of gross solids from the effluent, sand separation, clarifiers or separation systems to remove fats, oils and grease. The selection of these additional processes depends on the needs of each individual project.
Wastewater Treatment- Industrial Trade Effluent
Pollution Control - Wastewater Aeration Systems
Our fine bubble aeration systems can be installed in existing tanks or in lagoons, it can be a permanently fixed or removable system. The system is very flexible and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications and effluents.
Wastewater Treatment- Screening & Dewatering
Pollution Control - Rotary Brush Screen
Our Rotary Brush Screens are the smallest of our screening systems, they were originally developed for screening farmyard dirty water. It is a single stage perferated screen system with two or four brushes/ scrapers. The effluent enters at the inlet end, the solids are brushed/scraped over the screen and drop down a chute at the outlet end, the liquid drops through the screen into the sump and is piped away. Our Green Machine system is the same as a Rotary Brush Screen but has a tank and distribution pump situated beneath the screen. The Rotary Brush Screen/Green Machine system can be adapted for separating a wide range of effuents or as a rag screening system in wastewater treatment applications.
Pollution Control - Groundhog Slurry Separator
The Groundhog mechanical Slurry Separator operating principle is based on the proven technology of the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering design for Slurry Separators. The fibre rich solids produced from the slurry can be stacked for easy storage and the now reduced volume of nutrient rich liquid can then be managed more easily than when it was in slurry form.
Pollution Control - Groundhog Super Dry Separator
The SD Groundhog mechanical Separator produces an easily stackable solid plus a free flowing liquid. Effluent or slurry enters the Separator inlet chamber and is slowly brushed the full length of the perforated screen to remove most of the liquid before entering the second stage where the remaining solids are double pressed to ensure the maximum amount of liquid is extracted.
Settlement Tanks
Pollution Control - Primary Tank
The primary tank is used to remove solids from the effluent before it reaches the Eco-SAF stage. The Pollution Control range of primary tanks are designed and sized to achieve a good hydraulic retention time and ensure a sufficient settlement of the effluent., When the effluent enters the tank it is allowed to settle out due to the retention time, the heavier solids drop towards the base of the tank and the lighter solids float towards the top. Between these two layers is the liquid effluent which can be treated by the Eco-SAF module, the primary tank has a specially designed weir that only allows the liquid effluent to progress to the secondary stage of the process. The remaining solids and floating scum is removed from the tank periodically.
Pollution Control - Clarifier Tanks
Clarifier tanks are used to remove fine particles from effluent; they are usually square in shape with angled outer walls. They work by gravity combined with the angle of the walls of the tank. The effluent enters the tank; any particles in the effluent come into contact with the angled wall and slide down to the base of the tank which builds up as sludge. The effluent then flows over a weir and out of the tank to discharge. Sludge which builds up can be removed periodically or used as activated sludge in the Eco-SAF stage of the process.
Layflat Hose Handling
Pollution Control - Groundhog Agricultural Reelers
The Grounghog range of agricultural hose reelers forms an integral part of the Groundhog umbilical system. The reelers can be skid mounted or trailer based and give a robust reliable solution to your hose handling needs, combined with the rest our Groundhog range of equipment we can provide solutions to all your sludge and slurry handling needs.
