Day Ahead Operations
With Day Ahead Operation we mean operating in the markets which close the day ahead, for example spot and reserve markets. Bidding and delivering in the spot market is the most common activity and generates the most income. The planning and bidding in this market prepares the production for the following day and your participation in the reserve markets. All these markets are linked together: Bidding in the reserve markets depends on how you plan to fulfil your spot contract which again depends on the spot bid. The spot bid depends on available production capacity, expected inflow, expected prices and your own production costs. All this information may change continuously right up to the market closing time.
Intraday Operations
During daily operation, one thing is certain: Things never go as planned. Events will happen in your production system, your resource situation or in the market. The Intraday Operations package continuously monitors the expected future for you. By continuously giving you the latest data relevant for your operation and background simulations based on this information, we can tell you what to expect in order to act optimally before it happens. We notify you when the consequences of expected events are in such a degree that you need to take action, both related to the market and your production system.
