The Part Manufacturing & Engineering Services Division of PPS has always been on the forefront of new technologies. We utilize these new technologies to bring the customer their products with the shortest lead time, and a more efficient part. PPS works hard to expand our Engineering Services capabilities and continue to grow in a direction that will benefit our customers.

Reverse Engineering applies the newest technology, like 3D laser scanners, to capture data from sample points. If the sample is used extensively, it can be re-engineered to the original designs intent.  Our engineering team subsequently establishes new production drawings for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Our highly skilled Reverse Engineering and Quality Control team works together to bring our customer the most efficient part, that is best suited for the application.

Power Plant services offers world class Open Clean Inspect & Close (OCIC) services both domestically and internationally.  Our fleet of field equipment in conjunction with our highly trained and experienced field personnel can mobilize quickly and can usually be onsite within 24-48 hours anywhere in the world.

Power Plant Services has a dedicated Pump Division located in Bedford Park, Illinois, that can service all pump sizes, from small lubricating pumps to the largest circulating pumps manufactured. Our scope of work includes disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting the pump before presenting the customer a full assessment for review. These Pump services can be completed in our shop or on-site.  We cover every type of repair from weld repair of damage Fits, Bores, Impeller cavitation and Case issues. We have the capabilities to manufacture all new components for these repairs.  PPS has the ability to dynamically balance the Shaft and Impeller to 2W/N, which is beyond OEM standards. (4W/N is OEM standard). We also work within guidelines of API10, ANSI & ISO Chemical Process, and Nonmetallic ANSI.

Since Valve Parts and Valve Assembly have historically high maintenance schedules, it is imperative that they are serviced properly to prevent forced outages and to keep the Turbine online. Power Plants Services helps you keep timely maintenance schedule on all Valve services. With a large amount of raw material on hand, 75 machines, and the proper manpower needed, PPS can repair and manufacture all Valve Parts and Valve Assemblies from different OEMs. If your Valve or Valve Assembly is extensively used or damaged beyond repair, our Reverse Engineering team can Re-engineer a new part to the original design’s intent. Our team utilizes state-of-the-art 3D laser scanners and GOM 3D Structured light scanners to achieve the customer’s request.

When Welding services are required on Turbines and associated components. Various welding processes are used in different situations based on the need of the present job at hand.  Consequently, PPS has a welding department offering a myriad of weld types to cater to the various situations that may arise regarding Steam, Gas, Hydro, Geothermal, Wind, & all of their supporting components.
