The Pivot Belt conveyor is a PRAB-exclusive solution designed to tackle stringy, thin metal scrap and oily chips that can cause carryover on traditional conveyors. This innovative hinged belt design pivots to actively shed sticky scrap and coolant, preventing clogs and reducing fluid carry-off. Our Pivot Belt conveyors excel in applications with aluminum or steel stampings, chips, and other thin-gauge scrap – keeping your workspace cleaner and safer. PRAB’s oscillating scrap conveyors move metal waste by gently shaking it along a pan, an ideal method for specific applications requiring minimal maintenance. These oscillating scrap conveyors (also known as shaker conveyors or vibratory conveyors) have no belts or chains—instead, a durable motor and drive system creates a controlled reciprocating motion that reliably propels metal scrap, castings, or slug chips.

PRAB’s screw conveyors are compact, industrial screw conveyor systems designed for the automatic removal of metal chips and fines from CNC machining, turning, and milling operations. These systems use hardened steel auger screws to steadily propel scrap metal (swarf, bushy wads, or fine powders) out of equipment and into collection hoppers. Each PRAB screw chip conveyor is built for durability – with wear-resistant materials and robust drive motors that can handle continuous loads of abrasive chips. The enclosed auger design contains a mess and can even transport wet chips with cutting fluid.

PRAB’s drag conveyors (also known as drag chain or scraper conveyors) are engineered for heavy-duty metal scrap handling in the most demanding environments. These systems use powerful drag chains with welded steel flights to pull material along a hardened trough, making them ideal for conveying bushy turnings, stamping scrap, die-cast trim, and even dry sludge or fines. PRAB drag conveyors are built tough: the chains and flights are made of wear-resistant steel to ensure long-lasting durability, and the conveyor trough is abrasion-resistant to withstand continuous metal scraping.

PRAB’s pneumatic scrap conveyors harness the power of air to move metal chips, dust, and trim quickly through the tubing, making them a clean and flexible conveying solution for many plant layouts. These systems create a powerful vacuum or air flow that sucks up loose chips directly from CNC machinery discharge or collection points, then transports the material to a separator or central bin. Because there are no mechanical belts or chains, pneumatic scrap conveyors are low maintenance and can reach areas traditional conveyors can’t – perfect for overhead routing or covering long distances. PRAB’s designs focus on reliability and efficiency: we engineer our blowers, piping, and separators to handle continuous duty in harsh machining environments (wet or dry chips).
