The properties of these Zero Flow regulators are very beneficial for applications where flow consumption is very low, such as in core analysis or catalytic research where low flow rates of hydrogen are used.

Equilibar’s dome-loaded diaphragm-sealed multi-orifice technology is the basis of the EVR Series vacuum regulators.

The Equilibar ® ULF (Ultra Low Flow) series can achieve stable pressure control in applications handling an ultra-low flow of process media. In addition, the units can be used from subatmospheric pressure up to 690 bar (10.000 PSI). The ULF series is positioned to in the Equilibar product portfolio between the Low Flow series (also called standard multi-orifice series) and the Zero Flow series.

The combination of this electronic pressure controller with the Equilibar Research Series control valves has demonstrated to be very successful in many R&D applications from vacuum up to 1000 psi, matching the pressure limits of the popular LF-, and HF-series Equilibar BPR’s.

ERC stands for Electronic Reference pressure Control. Although the instrument is well suited to be used as a straightforward pressure reducing – or back pressure controller, it offers much more: This product line was specifically designed by PCS to set the reference pressure for dome-loaded back pressure regulators – very precisely! – for pressures ranging from vacuum up to 200 bar gauge.
