Argus - Oil in Water Monitors

Argus Oil in Water monitors concentrations at different levels, to monitor the separation process (water outlet), the water treatment process or the water injection process, paving the way for new applications for online OiW monitors. Oil & Gas operators are able to manage the process with real time OiW data from single or multiple measurement points throughout the process, providing unique process control.

Argus - Multipoint Oil in Water Monitoring System

The Argus® design enables several in-line measurement probes to be connected to the same central control unit through fibre-optic cable. In a multipoint Oil in Water monitoring system both low-pressure and high-pressure measurement points can be implemented. The control unit can be located in a hazardous area or a safe area. Flexibility of the Argus® technology makes ProAnalysis able to design systems that fits customer needs.

Argus - Oil in Water Monitoring System

Argus® Extreme is enabling Oil in Water (OiW) monitoring for the most difficult process conditions. It is fully automatic and self-cleaning up to 100 barg operating pressure. It features a groundbreaking patented Retract and Clean technology a landmark in OiW monitoring and is eligible for use in all stages of the water treatment.

Argus - Oil in Water Measurement Technology

Most large international Oil & Gas operators have a strong focus on subsea technology, and increasingly more equipment is located subsea. However, subsea separation of oil / gas / water – with a large potential for cost savings – has not yet been implemented. Operators have stated that ” Oil in Water measurement from subsea separators is an area with significant technology gaps as none of the instruments topside can be easily adapted. This technology is crucial for the application of subsea separation.” (“Technology strategy for Subsea Processing and Transport”, October 2006). The Argus® technology is designed for operation in challenging offshore process conditions, and has a number of characteristics that makes it well suited for subsea application.

Self-Cleaning Ultrasound Self-Cleaning

The major challenge with optical measurements in water is contamination from the process water, especially in challenging produced water treatment processes. ProAnalysis™ patented automated self-cleaning technology ensures a clean optical measurement window, due to its unique ultrasound cleaning capabilities.
