Colloid Mills

PUC - Model Type O - Vertical Enclosed Motor

The PUC Colloid Mill Type O is designed for precise and reproducible grinding and mixing of substances via a vertical enclosed motor setup. The milling process involves hydraulic and mechanical forces including cutting, impact, squeezing, friction, and shear applied in an adjustable annular gap between the stator and rotor. The device is capable of handling various raw materials, aggregates, and agglomerates in one pass, achieving extremely fine particle sizes. This model is available in seven sizes with capacities ranging from 150 to 34,000 liters per hour, depending on machine configuration and product viscosity. PUC Colloid Mill Type O can be fitted with different hopper types or pipeline flanges for material feeding. It incorporates single and double-acting mechanical seals, as well as PTFE lip seals adhering to FDA requirements. The seal system is easily interchangeable across different mill types and sizes.

PUC - Model Type E - Colloid Mill

PUC colloid mills have a wide range of applications. They can always be used when it is necessary to grind substances precisely and with reproducible results at the same time as mixing them. The milling gear of a colloid mill exerts hydraulic and mechanical cutting, impact, squeezing, friction and shear forces. The phases are ground and mixed with considerable precision in an annular gap between the stator and rotor which can be infinitely adjusted by changing the axial position of the stator. Particles are ground extremely finely. Most raw materials, aggregates and agglomerates can be processed in one pass through the mill.

PUC - Model Type EL - Colloid Mills

PUC type EL colloid mills are designed for in-line operation. They can be supplied many widely used types of connection (threaded nozzle, flange, tri-clamp, etc.). A special feature of type EL is the bearing block that allows our customers to use their own standard motors (standard B3 motors). At high inlet pressures and viscosity values, the forces generated can be absorbed even more effectively by the separate bearing. Our bearing blocks are fitted only with high-quality bearings with permanent lubrication, made in Germany.

PUC type O multistage mixers have a fully enclosed motor. They are always operated in a vertical position. Materials can be fed to the mill via various different types of hopper adapted to your process or in-line via piping flanged directly to the mill. If required, type O vibroreactors can be supplied with many widely used types of connection (threaded nozzle, flange, tri-clamp, etc.).

For the continuous de-aeration of liquid to pasty products, up to 10,000 kg/h. PUC EVA vacuum de-aeration units are used in many different sectors including the pharmaceutical, chemical/petrochemical, cosmetics and foodstuffs industries. EVA vacuum de-aeration units are used for the continuous de-aeration of liquid to pasty products. These units can process all the greases from NLGI 0-6 which are normally used, foodstuffs (e.g. mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sauces, jams, pastes, etc), chemicals, lotions and suspensions.

PUC perforated disc mills are used for crushing lumpy solid pieces and for mashing materials such as fruit, vegetables and meat, for the pre-comminution of soy beans and in general for the production and processing of foodstuffs, chemical and cosmetic products and the comminution of soaked paper. The principle of the PUC perforated disc mill is based on a knife bar rotating close to the perforated disc. The product is comminuted by cutting and impact forces between the knife and the perforated disc, forced through the holes in the perforated disc and then discharged by a driver wheel or impeller. The perforated discs are designed for easy replacement; discs with different hole diameters are used depending on the product and application.

PUC - Lubricant Processing Unit

PUC lubricant processing units are used for homogenizing and de-aerating lubricating greases. The units can process all the lubricating greases from NLGI 0 to 6 which are normally used. Practically all the high-quality greases available on the market are homogenized and de-aerated. Lubricating greases are complex mixtures of base oils, additives and thickeners. In order to meet the stringent requirements of modern industry, a lubricating grease must have the same concentration as the average value for the batch down to areas as small as about a thousandth of a millimetre (1/1000 mm). The following physical properties of a lubricating grease are significantly influenced by optimum homogenization in our units:
