Effective Cleaning & Disinfection of Water for Beef Cattle Operations: The use of Puroxi (OB) for livestock and animal production is a very important “tool” to improve the quality of the most important nutrient - water. Water is the most quantitative nutrient of the body in any species. Water consumption always determines dry matter feed intake. Water plays many major roles in all of the body’s normal functions. It does not matter what part or stage of the cattle industry you are involved with, cleaning and disinfecting is a major contributor to your success. Water actually plays a key role in any every part of your operation. Without water there is no production involved on any farm or feedlot. If water is that important it is equally as important to note that the quality of that water is critical to your operation.

The use of Puroxi (OB) for Alfalfa is an important "tool" to improve the quality of the most important nutrient - water. Doing a water analysis prior to any application is highly recommended. The use of Puroxi (OB) Water in the germination process has proven to visibly accelerate it, by effectively controlling bacterial concerns. This process was also used successfully in fodder applications of all kinds. Comparisons of Puroxi (OB) treated seeds with untreated seeds were very evident-   Puroxi (OB) treatment significantly enhanced the process by more than 15%. Plant disinfection the disinfection of roots with Puroxi OB 50, previous to sowing to definitive field, was performed. It is complemented by disinfecting the hole in where the eggplant is placed in field. The use of Puroxi (OB) for Lettuce was used in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties California, USA. Puroxi (OB) was applied to 1 acre Denali/Declaration Iceberg Lettuce. An Irrigation schedule of 1 hour every 3 days X 3 sets (germination to thin), then 3 hours each week until thin, and last two hours of weekly set through harvest. The foliar application was applied at a specific rate for 21 days through 45 days. The length of discovery on our results was a period of 100 days. The application of watering was 6 hours every 2-3 days (germination), 3 hours each week until thin, last 2 hours each week followed. The results on the lettuce were good but could have been much better. The yield was average 1400 lbs. per acre more than the control acres. However, the collective view was that it should have been 3200 to 4500 lbs., but for an issue with Sclerotinia.
