At r3 environmental solutions we hold all the permits required by law to recycle your WEEE products at our Environment Agency approved treatment facility. We ensure that every step of the process is taken care of for you. From the moment we receive your initial enquiry, right through to the moment you receive your official “Duty of Care” report.

Whilst most companies have sufficient procedures in place to protect their data in-house and online, what about when it is time to dispose of the equipment and media containing that data? At r3, we understand how critical data confidentiality and security is and can ensure the destruction of all data held on any equipment or media collected for disposal. Under the Data Protection Act, new legislation means that companies can be fined up to £500,000 for breaching the Act. r3 provide a range of government approved, secure data protection services to give you peace of mind and ensure you do not breach the Data Protection Act. Organisations have an ever increasing volume of data to be managed, with sensitive data and critical intellectual property stored across a multitude of media such as virtual systems, USB drives, tapes, memory cards amongst many others. One of the biggest challenges for IT managers is to ensure this data is erased securely and cost-effectively.

The current business environment is heavily regulated; both internal management systems such as ISO / British Standards and the WEEE Directive for example ensure that companies dispose of their redundant IT equipment legally and ethically.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2006 place responsibilities on users, producers and distributors of electrical and electronic equipment. If you use electrical and electronic equipment you must store, collect, treat, recycle and dispose of WEEE separately from your other waste.
