Air Separation & CO2 Plant Relocation Services
Ranch Cryogenics, Inc. began in 1987 when Mike Duffy, Sr.decided to strike out on his own after a long career which began in Milwaukee WI. in 1966. During these 21 years Mr. Duffy worked for Northern Gases as a truck and trailer mechanic, installed customer stations and customer supply piping, operated and managed several air separation plants and finally found his calling when he was assigned to move 2 69 T/D gaseous oxygen plants from Chicago to Waukesha, WI. The compressors, dryers, refrigeration units and heat exchangers were successfully moved and retrofitted to an existing air separation plant to provide increased liquid nitrogen production for a growing market.
Air Separation Unit (ASU) Design and Construction Service
Plant Start-up and Relief Operations Service
RCI maintains a staff of several ASU start up/operations personnel with many years of plant management and/or operations experience with major industrial gas companies such as BOC, Praxair and Air Liquide. These personnel can be utilized for plant start-up and commissioning, plant thaw/derime/defrost assistance, troubleshooting, operator training, relief operation and trailer loading. These personnel are frequently utilized during short-handed or high turn over situations when temporary help is needed.
Control System Design & Installation Service
RCI routinely designs and installs complete control systems on new and relocated installations. We generally use Emerson Delta V systems, but any system can be supplied based on customer preference. Ranch has upgraded numerous outdated electronic and pneumatic control systems to reliable, unattended computer controlled operation. RCI has installed several systems in medical grade plants which required FDA validation. In these cases, RCI and the customer work together to meet all design, installation, testing and commissioning requirements to complete all necessary tasks for compliance.
