Evidence Series
Randox - Model Evidence Investigator - Multi-Analyte Quantitative Drug Residue Screening Analyser
The Evidence Investigator is a multi-analyte quantitative drug residue screening analyser. Using biochip technology, the Evidence Investigator ensures screening food for drug residues is accurate and efficient, offering laboratories comparable results to that of LC-MS/MS. The Investigator can be used to test a variety of matrices including meat, seafood, honey, milk, mycotoxins and urine.
Randox - Biochip Array Technology (BAT)
Randox biochip array technology (BAT) will revolutionise your screening practices. Designed to work across a wide variety of matrices, BAT uses micro-spotting techniques to create an assay that can detect and provide quantitative results for up to 44 residues from a single sample. No complicated sample preparation and an assay protocol designed by scientists for scientists.
ELISA Technology
Randox - Doxycycline SENSITIVE ELISA Test Kit
Doxycycline is a semisynthetic tetracycline derivative. As an antibiotic treatment it generally requires a less frequent dosage as it tends to be more active than other Tetracyclines giving it a longer half-life. Whilst antibiotics are used to treat disease, there is the risk that residues will be left in final products and be harmful to the consumer. The use of Doxycycline is regulated by the EC for use in all food production. The Randox Food Diagnostics Doxycycline SENSITIVE ELISA test kit provides sensitive screening for antibiotic residues in fish and shrimp samples types.
Randox - Ractopamine ELISA Test Kit
Ractopamine is a phenethanolamine belonging to a class of drugs known as β-Adrenergic agonists (beta agonists) and has been found to increase muscle growth and decrease fat deposition. Due to the nature of this group of compounds, they have a history of being used illegally, particularly by livestock producers within medicated feeds.
Randox - Clenbuterol ELISA Test Kit
Clenbuterol has been shown to induce lipolysis whilst promoting an increase in muscle mass. However, there is a risk that residues of Clenbuterol may be present in meat products through pre medicated animal feeds, which may be harmful to the consumer. The use of Clenbuterol as growth promoters has been banned in most countries. Consequently, it is important that abuse of this compound is monitored. The Randox Food Diagnostics Clenbuterol ELISA tests kit screens for growth promoter drug residues in feed samples.
Randox - Chloramphenicol ELISA Test Kit
Chloramphenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. However, in humans it leads to Chloramphenicol induced aplastic anaemia. This has led to the use of Chloramphenicol being totally banned within the European Union since 1994 for the treatment of animals used for food production. Chloramphenicol is banned within the meat testing industry which may be passed through to tissue from medicated feeds. Available sample types include feed.
