Inspired by the whale shark, the WasteShark is a small autonomous surface vessel (ASV) that excels in efficiently handling aquatic waste. RanMarine is innovating in the field of aquatic oil spill response with the development of an Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) called "OilShark." This specialised vessel is designed to address incidental oil spills that occur in inshore locations, such as ports, harbours, and areas with high vessel traffic where hydrocarbon spills are likely to happen. Serving as a rapid response and first responder solution, the OilShark enables clean-up crews to swiftly deploy and initiate containment measures for these spills. RanMarine integrates advanced data connectivity via RanMarine Connect on the Megashark platform, enhancing operational capabilities. Partnering with leading European Oil Response companies, RanMarine ensures the effectiveness of the OilShark. Commercial units are set to launch in Q1 2024.

The SharkPod serves as an independent docking and recharging station designed specifically for RanMarine`s WasteShark Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs). This floating platform, capable of mooring, can accommodate up to five ASVs simultaneously. With the SharkPod, the discharge of the ASV`s payload and the recharge of its battery can be fully automated.

The TenderShark is a versatile solution that can be deployed in a wide range of environments. Whether it`s harbours, ports, marinas, coastal and inland waterways, rivers, or canals, this exceptional vessel excels in any setting, providing reliable transportation and environmental benefits via its zero-emissions battery powered thrusters. Additionally, this remarkable model can be deployed in natural disaster areas, ensuring safe and swift transportation to hard-to-reach regions.

SharkCage offers a versatile launching platform for your WasteShark. It is designed to be used with a hoist to safely and effectively lower and raise the vessel from a quayside structure directly above the waterline. Robust wheels ensure that the WasteShark can be easily maneuvered when the unit is moved between operating sites, or from a storage area to the working location.

The SharkRamp is intended to be anchored to a quayside as a fixed launching and retrieval platform. It provides a secure sanctuary for a WasteShark to return home after completing a mission, when its basket needs to be emptied, or when its batteries need re-charging. The WasteShark is launched into the water by a motorised lift system, which also raises it out of the water once it has docked at the base of the ramp.

The conventional waste basket easily slides in and out of the front end of the WasteShark and is housed in a sturdy frame mounted between the hull`s pontoons. Emptying the waste basket is as simple as sliding it out to reveal the “harvest” of collected debris. The conventional waste basket was created with simplicity, convenience of use, and durability in mind.

Every WasteShark is equipped with a standard depth and temperature sensor. For specific requirements, additional water quality and environmental sensors can be seamlessly integrated into the WasteShark platform as optional equipment, tailored to each customer`s needs. The integration of Eureka sensors, such as the MANTA and Trimeter sensor formats, has proven to be highly reliable and accurate, delivering exceptional results. These sensor configurations typically encompass probes for measuring temperature, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen (DO), oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and turbidity.
