Acrath bricks are acid-resistant, classified as either Class 1 (Acrath S1-t) or Class 3 (Acrath S3-t).
These bricks are resistant to many chemical attack types, especially acidic furnace exhaust gases and sulfur compounds, even when the dew point is reached. They are therefore used for acid-resistant linings. Their high abrasion and chlorine resistance make them ideal for use in fluidized bed systems and preheaters in the cement industry, where raw materials or fuels contain such substances.

Carathform components are manufactured from a wide range of different concrete mixes. These components are used when dense blocks can no longer be pressed due to the complexity of the required shapes. Even for small quantities, precast concrete elements are preferred over dense blocks.

PORRATH lightweight refractory bricks are porous bricks with low thermal conductivity and excellent hot-temperature properties, covering the entire spectrum of applications from 1200°C to 1800°C. The chemical and physical properties of PORRATH bricks allow them to optimally meet a wide variety of requirements. Depending on the application and process temperature, PORRATH lightweight refractory bricks are manufactured from different raw materials and can be produced in complex shapes with very tight dimensional tolerances.
