The SiriusSD® range of Silicon Drift Detectors are designed to be compatible with all commercially available SEM and TEM systems and effortlessly interface with standard pulse processing electronics. Although primarily an OEM product, the SiriusSD EDS detector can also be configured as a Si(Li) replacement on most end-user installed EDS systems. The SiriusSD® SDD provide exceptional and stable performance over a wide range of count rates (up to >1Mcps input rate). The detector output is fully adaptable to provide optimised input directly to most analogue or digital pulse processing systems. The SiriusSD silicon drift detectors operate with a single power supply unit and can be supplied with or without a digital pulse processor. All of our SEM and TEM SiriusSD® models are vibration free and supplied with vacuum interface for any commercially available SEM and TEM.

RaySpec XRF X-Ray Fluorescence Silicon Drift Detectors are available with a comprehensive choice of sensor active area, tube length and collimation, and with vacuum compatibility, to ensure the right detector is always available for the job. Designs are customisable to suit individual instruments and provide consistency of spectral qualities over extremes of count rate and temperature. The compact profiles allow easy integration into OEM X-ray fluorescence instruments from large laboratory systems to the smallest bench top models. Detector outputs are customisable ensuring that XRF detectors are compatible with all modern pulse processing systems. Detectors are available with the latest low-capacitance ASIC primary amplification stage which enables the detector to generate improved resolution at very short peaking times and hence ultra-high count rates (up to several Mcps, processor dependent).

RaySpec offers a unique range of SDD products for beamline applications at synchrotrons and particle accelerators, designed for all fluorescence spectroscopy applications. All beam-lines are different, especially in today’s environment of multi-technique end stations. Space is more and more limited and the requirements of the detectors are increasingly specialised.

Our unique EDS Detector upgrade kit provides a simple guaranteed route to improving existing Si(Li) based EDS Microanalysis systems by exchanging the existing x-ray detector for a new state-of-the-art Silicon Drift Detector (SDD). The EDS Detector upgrade kit comes as a complete solution ready to fit onto the SEM and is fully compatible with most existing EDS systems. The new SDD is delivered complete with power supply, cabling and a full installation guide and user instruction manual.
