Battery Sorting Services
With our 7 segregation lines we achieve a capacity of more than 17,000 tons per year at our locations in Dietzenbach and Bremerhaven. Sorting of a typical mixture of household batteries can be performed at a sorting speed of up to 30 batteries per second with an accuracy of > 99%.After sorting, we weigh and document each batch. Battery fractions that cannot be recycled by us are delivered to selected recycling partners in transportable packages.
Battery Recycling Services
After sorting, zinc-carbon and alkaline-manganese batteries, 85-90% by weight of the total consumer battery market, are recycled in a certified facility developed by REDUX. The technical facilities at our locations enable us to also recycle zinc-carbon batteries (ZnC), alkaline-manganese batteries (AlMn), nickel-metal hydride batteries (NiMh) and construction site/warning lamp batteries.
Environment Recycling Services
During the development of our facilities, the highest possible degree of environmental friendliness with respect to dust, noise and exhaust was a focus. The facility was thus designed as a completely closed system, which includes all processing steps of the batteries and packaging of the raw materials. Complete filtering of any mercury contained in the batteries is ensured by the generously dimensioned exhaust system, which consists of two dust filters and two overdimensioned activated carbon filters. Dust within the system can be largely avoided by a special high-pressure system. Moreover, we ensure that waste water is not produced in the entire value-added process / production process.
