REDWAVE - Competence Center of BT-Systems GmbH applications

REDWAVE solutions for glass processing are designed to maintain a uniform and evenly distributed material flow in and through the system in order to keep glass loss to a minimum - it`s the details that matter.

The demands on the paper industry in the coming years require a completely new understanding of quality and material availability. Changes in our demographic and economic behaviour make a new generation of sorting machines indispensable.
In order to provide our customers with the best possible support for future challenges, the REDWAVE 2i was specially developed for the upcoming requirements in the paper industry. Based on the very successful NIR / C, the REDWAVE 2i has been improved and optimised in many ways. REDWAVE continues to rely on a complete solution, so the proven combination of sorting system and innovative feeding technology can be used in the future. Furthermore, the REDWAVE 2i offers the necessary prerequisites for future developments in the area of Industry 4.0 and thus becomes a future-oriented solution for the upcoming requirements and needs of the paper industry.

The recovery of single-type plastics and other recyclable materials is an ever greater and more important challenge for the processing industry. Through intensive research and development work, we always offer you the latest in sorting technology. The areas of application in plastics sorting are often very different. For example, hollow bodies (PET, HDPE, PP, etc.), foils (LDPE, PP, etc.) and biodegradable plastics can be efficiently recovered; chlorine-containing compounds (PVC), plastics with flame retardants, paper, wood and metals can be effectively eliminated. We plan, manufacture, deliver and assemble plastic sorting plants with the latest know-how and are happy to provide you with our expertise.

From the beginning, REDWAVE has been the leader in XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) based sorting machines. Our worldwide customer base ranges from family owned shredder yards to multinational corporations, and each one has met their specific needs in nonferrous sorting with the REDWAVE XRF/C. But we are not just another equipment manufacturer. Our expertise in non-ferrous markets and ongoing relationships with our customer base has led to constant innovation in developing new sorting solutions based on customer requests.  As a global leader in plant solutions, we have designed and installed turnkey nonferrous sorting plants with input capacities of up to 25 tons per hour that continuously produce a furnace ready product. With over 100 XRF-machines operating and 20 years’ experience building plants REDWAVE is here to solve your nonferrous challenges, whether it is a single machine or a turnkey plant.

Regardless of which collection system is used and the respective task, we design plant systems that ensure 100% efficiency. Depending on the country, there exist different collection systems for waste, which leads to different tasks in sorting technology. For example, packaging waste usually consists of various plastics, paper and glass. Single stream waste, as it is known in the UK, consists mostly of dry, mixed waste (paper, cardboard, foils, plastic packaging, metals, aluminium, and in many cases, glass). Heavy, mixed waste usually contains bulkier input material, etc. The integration of REDWAVE sorting machines into the waste processing plant ensures maximum purity of the sorted fractions.

REDWAVE ROX was developed for sorting many different minerals, ores and precious stones, such as limestone, calcite/dolomite, quartz, talc, magnesite or lithium in the industrial mineral sector, or copper, zinc, lead, nickel or gold and silver in the ore sector (metals). With its stable detection quality and intelligent sorting technology, REDWAVE ROX ensures high selectivity with high throughput rates at the same time.

As a specialist in the field of sensor-based sorting technology as well as an experienced plant construction company in mechanical-biological waste processing, we combine 20 years of know-how and experience from both areas to implement tailor-made concepts for our customers from a single source. On the basis of automated, mechanical processing and sorting techniques, waste is processed into high-quality secondary fuels that safely meet the requirements of fuel users. In addition, the use of our sensor-based sorting technology enables a maximum of recycling for all recycling materials contained in the waste, such as metals, plastics, glass and mineral products.
