Rentech’s D-type watertube boilers are the workhorse of the boiler industry! The flexible design of our D-type boilers make it well suited for most applications. The conservatively sized furnaces are optimized to meet demanding emission levels while ensuring the longevity of your steam boiler. Superheated steam can be provided with single stage or dual stage convective superheaters, and Rentech’s super. Heaters are always designed to be fully drainable. D-type boilers are recommended for capacities from 20,000 lb/hr (9,000 kg/hr) to 600,000+ lb/hr (275,000+ kg/hr).

Rentech A-type watertube boilers are available for applications that require large capacity, fully shop-assembled units, with difficult logistical requirements. Although somewhat limited in its design flexibility, compared to a D-Type boiler, the symmetrical design inherent in the A-Type boiler, allows for an easier shipment, via rail or truck. A-type boilers are recommended for capacities between 150,000 lb/hr (70,000 kg/hr) and 250,000 lb/hr (115,000 kg/hr).

Like the A-type boiler, O-type boilers are symmetric allowing for easier shipment via rail or truck. The O-type boiler is the preferred arrangement for the rental boiler industry with some units being designed with an integral trailer to allow for quick shipments. O-type boilers are recommended when a footprint is limited up to 100,000 lbs/hr (45,000 kg/hr) steam.
