Highways, Infrastructure and Streetworks
RML has been involved in a wide range of highways, infrastructure and streetworks projects, contributing a full environmental and landscape service or individual specialist services for a variety of projects, acting as project managers for the environmental aspects. RML provides specialist landscape and environmental skills needed for a major dual-carriageway project and for several single carriageway trunk and county roads. We have assisted in the preliminary stages of many projects including planning and design of highways and other infrastructure, street works, urban design, and commercial development. Our staff are experienced in bringing in design skills whilst addressing environmental issues in the early stages of projects and do this in a manner that is pragmatic and helpful.

Ecological Services
Wildlife and habitats in the UK are protected by an increasing range of national and European legislation. RML will guide your project through the complexity of regulations and legislation. We provide the full range of ecological services from initial surveys to implementation, monitoring and habitat management.
Archaeological Services
Our landscape is rich in archaeological evidence of previous generations. Whether it is the buried fragments of former settlements, the larger remains of industrial activities, or the subtle patterns of human activity that shape the landscape, few sites can be written off without some form of assessment.
Planning Services
Projects have included waste disposal sites, minerals sites, housing schemes, engineering reclamation works, cycleways, leisure and recreation schemes and infrastructure projects. RML can act as Environmental Co-ordinator to manage project teams, undertake survey work leading to reports and impact statements required to assist the planning authority to reach a decision. The range of information needed to support a planning application can be wide.
