Unmanned Laser Scanning

RIEGL - Model VUX-120 - Lightweight and Versatile Airborne Laser Scanner

The new RIEGL VUX-120 is a lightweight and versatile airborne laser scanner offering a wide field of view of 100 degrees and an extremely fast data acquisition rate of up to 1.8 MHz. Thus, it is perfectly suited for high point density corridor mapping applications. The measuring beam of the RIEGL VUX-120 is consecutively scanned in three different directions: it alternates from strictly nadir, to +10 degrees forward, and to -10 degrees backward. This allows data acquisition with an unrivaled completeness in data capture, especially in challenging environments with vertical surfaces and narrow canyons.

RIEGL - Model VUX-240 - Lightweight Airborne Laser Scanner

The RIEGL VUX-240 is a lightweight airborne laser scanner, especially designed for use on UAS/UAV/RPAS and small manned aeroplanes or helicopters. With its wide field of view of 75 degrees and an extremely fast data acquisition rate of up to 1.8 MHz, the instrument is perfectly suited for high point density corridor mapping applications.

RIEGL - Model VUX-1UAV - Lightweight and Compact Laser Scanner

The RIEGL VUX-1UAV is a very lightweight and compact laser scanner, meeting the challenges of emerging survey solutions by UAS/UAV/RPAS both in measurement performance as well as in system integration. With regard to the specific constraints and flight characteristics of the UAS, the RIEGL VUX-1UAV is designed to be mounted in any orientation and even under limited weight and space conditions. Modest in power consumption, the instrument requires only a single power supply. The entire data set of an acquisition campaign is stored onto an internal 240 GByte SSD and/or provided as real-time line scan data via the integrated LAN-TCP/IP interface.

RIEGL - Model miniVUX-1UAV - Extremely Lightweight Airborne Laser Scanner

The RIEGL miniVUX-1UAV is an extremely lightweight airborne laser scanner, designed specifically for integration with UAS/UAV/RPAS.

RIEGL - Model VQ-840-G - Fully Integrated Compact Airborne Laser Scanner

The RIEGL VQ-840-G is a fully integrated compact airborne laser scanner for combined bathymetric and topographic surveying. The system is offered with an optionally integrated and factory-calibrated GNSS/IMU system and can be complemented with an optional camera or IR rangefinder. The VQ-840-G is a compact and lightweight LiDAR system to be installed on various platforms including UAVs.

Terrestrial Laser Scanning

RIEGL - Model VZ-6000 - 3D VZ-Line Laser Scanner

This 3D VZ-Line Laser Scanner offers superior and unrivaled long range reflectorless measurement performance of more than 6,000 m. RIEGL ´s unique V-Line technology is based on echo digitization and online waveform processing, which means that the VZ-6000 operates even in poor visibility and demanding multi target situations caused by dust, haze, rain, snow. Due to its laser wavelength the instrument is exceptionally well-suited for measuring snowy and icy terrain.

RIEGL - Model VZ-4000 - 3D VZ-Line Laser Scanner

This 3D VZ-Line Laser Scanner offers superior and unrivalled long range measurement performance of up to 4000 m reflectorlessly while still maintaining completely eye safe operation (Laser Class 1). RIEGL`s unique V-Line technology is based on echo digitization and online waveform processing and is the key to enabling such extreme long range measurements. The VZ-4000 operates even in poor visibility and demanding multi target situations caused by dust, haze, rain, snow, etc. which are frequently found in difficult environments such as mine sites.

RIEGL - Model VZ-400i - Cutting-Edge 3d Laser Scanning System

The RIEGL VZ-400i is a cutting-edge 3D Laser Scanning System which combines a future-oriented, innovative new processing architecture and internet connectivity with RIEGL’s latest waveform processing LiDAR technology. This real-time data flow is enabled through dual processing platforms: a dedicated processing system for simultaneous acquisition of scan data and image data, waveform processing and system operations, and a second processing platform which enables automatic on-board registration, geo-referencing, and analysis to be executed in parallel. The VZ-400i provides an integrated 3G/4G LTE modem, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet communications hardware. With its integrated orientation sensor (MEMS IMU, compass, and barometer) the VZ-400i’s up to 1200 kHz pulse repetition rate can be fully utilized in many environments and orientations.

Airborne Laser Scanning

RIEGL - Model VQ-1560 II-S - Dual Channel Laser Scanner

The VQ-1560 II-S follows the successful concept of RIEGL’s proven dual channel laser scanner series. With increased laser power the operational altitudes are extended up to 1700m AGL at a pulse repetition rate of 4MHz, or up to 3900m AGL at a pulse repetition rate of 540kHz (all values given for 20% target reflectance). These improved maximum ranges allow an increase of the system’s productivity by about 25% for a very attractive point density range. Laser pulse repetition rates can be fine-tuned in 12kHz steps, enabling subtle optimization of acquisition parameters in order to meet specific project requirements.

RIEGL - Model VQ-1560i-DW - Airborne Lidar Scanning System

The RIEGL VQ-1560i-DW  is an airborne LiDAR scanning system offering two LiDAR channels of different wavelengths, green and infrared (IR). These wavelengths are well chosen to allow the acquisition of scan data of complementary information content, thus delivering two independent reflectance distribution maps, one per laser wavelength. Scan data acquired with the RIEGL VQ-1560i-DW are the input for well-established scan data processing methods but also for the development of highly sophisticated data processing and evaluation algorithms for new areas of application like vegetation mapping in agriculture and forestry. Thus the VQ-1560i-DW offers innovative technology for commercial as well as scientific and research applications. The VQ-1560i-DW provides a laser pulse repetition rate of up to 1MHz per LiDAR channel, resulting in a total of more than 1.3 million measurements per second on the ground.
