The High Efficiency Biological Air Sampler (HEBAS) detects potential contamination from viable particles. The geometry of the HEBAS head is designed to precisely direct sample air onto the culture media surface to assure high collection efficiency (validated according to ISO 14698/1 Annex B).

Rigel microbiological HEBAS (High Efficiency Biological Air Sampler) sampling head uses the inertial impact technology at a low velocity on a culture media. It is made by materials (AISI 316L Stainless Steel or aluminum), perfectly suitable to be used in low contamination environments and fully autoclavable.

Using patented optical technology, the IMD-A system is capable of simultaneously detecting both size and biologic fluorescence of airborne particulates. The technology offers an eloquent yet robust method for determining the microbial content of an aerosol sample on a particle-by-particle basis, thereby providing a continuous, real-time analysis of environmental bioburden. The IMD-A system requires no reagents and minimal human operator involvement, so it is particularly well-suited for rigorous environmental monitoring applications where time, cost, and cleanliness are of greatest concern.
