As an employer we believe that training and nurturing apprentices both manual and office based leads to higher levels of loyalty, customer service and staff retention. By starting as apprentices/trainees they have a grass roots understanding of the company and coupled with our leadership training this forms part of our Talent Management and Succession Planning strategy. Many of our apprentices in time become mentors for new apprentices. We work closely with the local councils (at the moment just the one) to recruit and offer the right training to support the business needs and provide critical development experience that will enable apprentices/trainees to move into future key roles.
