Newman Zone - Balance of Fast and Slow Release Electron Donors

A Balance of Fast and Slow Release Electron Donors. Newman Zone is Proven: Newman Zone was the first EVO bioremediation product on the market and tens of millions of pounds have been successfully used around the world. Newman Zone is a blend of fast and slow release electron donors proven effective in treating chlorinated solvents and other contaminants.

Newman Zone - Model HRO - High Retention, Slow Release Electron Donor

Newman Zone HRO™ is a low-cost, easy to use product for preparing EVO on site with gentle mixing. This blend of soybean oil, soybean oil esters, and surfactants is 100% electron donor. After mixing with water, HRO™ injects as easily as water. The larger oil droplet size of Newman Zone HRO™ maximizes oil retention in coarse grained soils and bedrock. Common applications include anaerobic bioremediation of chlorinated solvents, nitrated explosives (RDX, HMX, TNT), selected toxic metals (Chrome VI), perchlorate, and nitrate. Newman Zone HRO™ is a USDA Certified Biobased Product.

Newman Zone - Model QR90 - Soluble Electron Donor

Newman Zone QR90™ is a blend of soluble electron donors, nutrients, and vitamins. QR90™ contains 90% fermentable material and produces 3X the molecular hydrogen as Sodium lactate. Common applications include anaerobic bioremediation of chlorinated solvents, nitrated explosives (RDX, HMX, TNT), selected toxic metals (Chrome VI), perchlorate, and nitrate. Newman Zone QR90™ is a USDA Certified Biobased Product.

Neutral Zone - Insoluble Colloidal Buffer

Neutral Zone is a colloidal calcium carbonate buffer used to maintain neutral pH during bioremediation. It is an easy to use liquid that contains 50% buffer solids. The solids are mobile during injection, but are retained in the treatment area after injection. In contrast, soluble buffers are commonly flushed out of the treatment area by ground water flow limiting their effectiveness.

Newman Zone - Model OS - Oxygen Scavenger for Anaerobic Bioremediation

Newman Zone OS is specially formulated to quickly remove dissolved oxygen from water and create the reducing conditions necessary for successful anaerobic bioremediation. Newman Zone OS supports bioaugmentation cultures such as SDC-9 and KB-1.

Newman Zone - Model QR75 - Soluble Quick Release Electron Donor

Soluble Quick Release Electron Donor – Low Cost & High Hydrogen Production. Newman Zone Qr75is a soluble electron donor with essential nutrients and vitamins. QR75 contains over 75% fermentable material and produces 2X the hydrogen as sodium lactate1. Rapid fermentation provides molecular hydrogen to quickly reduce competing electron acceptors (DO, sulfate, nitrate) and produce anaerobic conditions to stimulate biological treatment of chlorinated solvents, chrome VI, nitrated explosives (RDX, HMX, TNT), perchlorate and nitrate. Additionally, Newman Zone QR75 contains Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Vitamin B12 for rapid microbial growth.

RNAS - Model SDC-9 - Bioaugmentation Culture for Groundwater Remediation

SDC-9 bioaugmentation culture is a field proven, highly effective consortium of microorganisms for in situ bioremediation of chlorinated solvents. Common application includes injecting between rounds of anaerobic water and electron donor, which minimizes exposure to oxygen while mixing SDC-9 throughout the treatment area.

Rental Injection Systems

Single-Channel Rental Injection System

The 1-channel system is mounted on a folding A-frame. The frame can stand freely or can be hung on the side of a tote. A flow meter, pressure gauge, throttling valve, and sight gauge at the wellhead unit allows for precise control of injection volumes and rates. Fifty feet of hose is provided with the standard rental package. The entire system is shipped in a 12 cu. ft. (3′ x 2′ x 2′) wheeled tool box and weighs about 110 pounds.

Four Channel Rental Injection System

All 4-channel systems allow injection into four points simultaneously. The 4-channel systems Include a four-port manifold, and mechanical flow meters, wellhead fittings, and digital flow meters for of four wellheads. Two hundred feet of hose is provided with the system. The 4-channel system ships in two large (3′ x 2′ x 2′) wheeled plastic tool boxes, each of which weighs approximately 100 pounds.

Ten Channel Rental Injection System

The 10-channel system is mounted on a pallet-sized equipment skid and weighs about 300 pounds. It is shipped on a plastic drum pallet that can be moved by forklift or can be simply skidded on the ground. The system can be removed from the pallet and moved on integral wheels if the ground surface permits. A backflow preventer is included. Each of the ten injection points can be put on line or taken off line at any time. Flow meters, pressure gauges, throttling valves, and sight gauges at each wellhead unit allow for precise control of injection volumes and rates at each injection point. One thousand feet of hose is provided with the standard rental package. Hoses, wellhead units, and other equipment are shipped in a pallet-sized collapsible bulk container that weighs about 560 pounds and can be moved by forklift.
