Robinson - Heavy Duty Air Foil Fans

Air foil fans are designed, engineered and tested for airstreams requiring high efficiency and quiet operation. They are used extensively for continuous service to 850°F in forced and induced draft applications in the metals, chemical, power generation, paper, rock products, glass, resource recovery, incineration and other industries throughout the world.

High-Temperature Recirculation Axial Flow Fans

Robinson’s laboratory facilities are designed for both air performance and sound testing. Qualified lab personnel use state-of-the-art instrumentation to ensure accurate test results. The emphasis on quality at Robinson is backed by expert workmanship and a thorough quality control program. Dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection, sonic testing, vibration analysis and x-ray testing are all utilized to ensure that Robinson-built fans provide long, reliable service.

Backwardly Inclined Industrial Fan

The Robinson type J fan is a backward curve unit designed to give quiet, highly efficient, stable operation through a wide performance range with the protection of absolute non-overloading characteristics.

Blo Bearings

Robinson has been manufacturing high-quality fans and blowers since 1892. So naturally, we know a thing or two about the critical components. When performance and reliability demands increase, the need for robust bearings increases as well. That’s why we created Robinson BLO Bearings for high-speed fan applications.

High-Temperature Centrifugal Forward Curve Fans

Robinson FC fans are furnished with forward-curve wheels that are ideally suited for applications involving continuous operation at temperatures ranging from 70° F to 2,000° F. FC Series units are often constructed of special alloy materials for high-temperature service, but are used also for low-temperature operations. Other fan types designed and built by Robinson for high-temperature applications include axial flow, paddle wheel and radial blade series.

Industrial Dampers for High-Speed Fan Equipment

Robinson has provided fans and dampers for industry since 1892. In the early years, the company built equipment primarily for coal mine ventilation. In the 1930s, experience in high-temperature applications was acquired as a result of units built for brick-drying operations. As its customer list has expanded to steel, cement, aluminum, pulp and paper, fertilizer, glass, chemical, coal preparation and utility industries, Robinson’s experience and expertise in building dampers have steadily increased. Input from Robinson’s field servicemen enables the company to handle the hot, dirty and corrosive jobs as well as high-efficiency, clean-air applications. Today, this experience is available to industry in the form of long-lasting, low-maintenance dampers.

Industrial Exhauster

The Materials Handling Wheel is designed to handle and move air or gas containing granular materials, dust, buffing and grinding wheel exhaust, wood or metalworking machine exhaust. It is also used for dirty, tough or general industrial materials-handling applications. Wheels are heavy welded steel construction with six radial blades. Sizes from 12`- 84-¼` diameter, other sizes available. Available in standard and extra-heavy construction.

High-Temperature Centrifugal Paddle Wheel Fans

Robinson PW fans are furnished with radial bladed wheels specifically suited for applications involving continuous operation at temperatures from 70° F to 2000° F. PW units are often constructed of special alloy materials for high-temperature service, but are also used for low temperature operations. Other Robinson fans designed for high-temperature applications include axial flow and FC (forward curve) blade series. Robinson’s PW design is a result of thorough and exacting laboratory testing and documented performance ratings. These ratings were calculated on the basis of complete fan units, including wheel, casing and inlet section. Components are also furnished separately by Robinson, but the fan unit must be set up with wheel, shaft, casing, inlet and all other components in place to Robinson design specifications to achieve rated performance.

Pre-Engineered Industrial Air Moving Equipment

Robinson PE Fans are built with quality materials by skilled, experienced craftsmen for reliability and longevity. In a market which is increasingly calling for high quality, standard fans with great versatility and a competitive price, the PE Series fan is the answer. The PE (pre-engineered) Series fan is the culmination of over 100 years in the fan design and manufacturing business. The PE fan is a combination of one of three wheels in a standard housing. This combination allows quiet, efficient operation throughout a broad range of performance requirements. The choice of wheels allows the fan to operate in a variety of air stream conditions. Each of the three wheels – an airfoil, a backward inclined, and a backward curved – has been designed specifically for this PE application. All three wheel types have undergone extensive stress analysis.

Heavy-Duty Radial Blade Fans

Robinson radial blade (RB) fans are custom engineered and built for rugged service in abrasive airstreams. Robinson radial blade fans are used extensively for efficient forced- and induced-draft service in the metals, chemical, power generation, paper, rock products, glass, resource recovery, incineration and other industries. A wide range of abrasion-resistant materials and liners are available to satisfy particular requirements.
