Roll Technology manufactures calender rolls with varying base materials to meet operating conditions and required hardness.

When the web process demands precise gap control and web uniformity, the coating rolls are at the heart of a line.  Roll Technology has the equipment, personnel, and skills to produce low run-out rolls (to .00005" and below) while also maintaining critical straightness across the roll face. We have State-of-the-Art inspection equipment including a “Pro-Mic" graph computer and Keyence Laser system. We can also help you with design ideas for new rolls that maximize accuracy under load conditions, and selection of the proper bearings and base metal materials.

Roll Technology manufactures the most typical forms of a heat transfer roll; oil-heated rolls. Apart from solely supplying hot-oil rolls, Roll Technology can also repair and/or refinish heated rolls.

Roll Technology manufactures heat transfer rolls that provide temperature control by circulating fluid under the outer shell of the roll. Cooling & heating rolls, also named chill rolls, cooling cans, cooling drums and hot oil rolls are all Heat Transfer Rolls. The fluid essentially cools or heats the rolls to the desired temperature for the application. There are different designs and configurations of the spirals within the rolls that can be critical to optimizing the performance of the heat transfer rolls. Most heat transfers are double shell spiral baffle rolls (DSSB)- having an inner shell with a spiral baffle wrapped around it then either shrunk or slip fitted to the outer shell. Outer shells are thru-bored to create a uniformly thick outer shell and to enhance balance. Our chill rollers can introduce fluid via mono flow design (liquid in one end and out the other end), or a dual-flow design (liquid in/ out the same end).
