The Romer Labs Sponge-Stick is a 3″ x 1.5″ (7.5 cm x 3.5 cm) compressed cellulose sponge attached to a quick-release handle, pre-moistened with 10 ml buffer of choice and individually packaged in a vapor-barrier foil pouch or already in a sampling bag. The quick-release handle provides an extra level of convenience and reliability. It is designed to release the sponge into the sample bag after sample collection, allowing only the sponge to be returned to the laboratory. Unnecessary parts that could interfere with sample processing are therefore eliminated.

MycoSep columns represent one-step cleanup columns containing packing materials made of adsorbent mixes specially designed for all food and feed commodities, for fast cleanup within 30 seconds. Cleanup is possible for all EU regulated mycotoxins.

The wide range of StarLine immunoaffinity columns (IAC) for regulated mycotoxins is based on a specific antibody-analyte binding technology. Toxin-specific antibodies coupled to gel particles capture the mycotoxins in the sample and release them after a washing step. StarLine immunoaffinity columns are designed for simple and reliable cleanup before detection of mycotoxins in a broad range of different commodities. Those IAC can be used for the purification as well as concentration of mycotoxins prior to analysis by various techniques, such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ELISA or direct fluorometry. All Romer Labs IAC employ highly specific, monoclonal antibodies.

Romer Labs offers two laboratory mills for grinding of various matrices. The Romer Series II Mill is the only mill available that simultaneously grinds and sub-samples quickly and easily. The RAS Mill has been specifically developed for difficult-to-grind products, like pet foods and nuts. Both mills have CE approval.

HygieneChek dip slides are an easy-to-use, reliable and economic microbiological testing and transportation system. It is based on a double-sided agar paddle which is used to detect and identify various microorganisms commonly found in foods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. The only equipment required for HygieneChek is an incubator. An optional extra would be a bench top autoclave.
