Workpiece Clamping Elements - Hydraulic Cylinders
Romheld - Model B1.282 Series - Hydro-Cylinder With Optional Stroke End Cushioning
Double-acting hydro-cylinders with connecting dimensions according to DIN ISO 6020. Only exception is the shorter overall length. On request also available in the longer version as per DIN ISO 60 20. The piston rod is provided with an external thread. For fixing, the front and back part of the body is provided with 4 internal threads.
Romheld - Model Series B1.309 - Threaded-Body Universal Cylinders
The threaded-body universal cylinders are delivered with the same piston diameters and strokes as the well-proven block cylinders. Hydraulic connection is exclusively effected at the cylinder bottom by hydraulic tubes or hoses. Sealing of the case-hardened piston rod is made by a tandem sealing with minimum leakage and a wiper. The threaded-body universal cylinders can be used as clamping cylinders for workpiece clamping as well as for general motion tasks. For temperatures exceeding. 100° C a version with FKM seals is available. Fixing is made in cross holes with 2 lock nuts or in threaded holes with 1 lock nut. The lock nuts allow exact positioning of the cylinder in axial direction.
Workpiece Clamping Elements - Hydraulic Cylinders - Threaded-body Cylinders
Romheld - Model B1.4301 Series - Threaded-Body Cylinder
These clamping cylinders may be threaded directly into tapped holes of the fixture. These compact devices can be used to great advantage in fixtures where space is at a premium. Hydraulic fluid is supplied through passages drilled into the fixture body, thus eliminating hydraulic hoses and threaded fittings. The built-in spring returns the piston when hydraulic pressure is released.
Romheld - Model B1.450 Series - Threaded-Body Cylinders
These clamping cylinders may be threaded directly into tapped holes of the fixture. These compact devices can be used to great advantage in fixtures where space is at a premium. Hydraulic fluid is supplied through passages drilled into the fixture body, thus eliminating hydraulic hoses and threaded fittings. The built-in spring returns the piston when hydraulic pressure is released. The internal threads at the piston rod end accept contact bolts.
Workpiece Clamping Elements - Hydraulic Cylinders - Block Cylinders
Romheld - Model B1.5091 Series - Single-Acting Block Cylinders
Single-acting block cylinders can be used for all hydraulically-operated linear movements that do not require a retraction force or where the piston is retracted by an external force.
Romheld - Model B1.5094 Series - Double-Acting Block Cylinders
Double-acting block cylinders can be used universally for all hydraulically-operated linear movements. The double-acting functioning allows a force generation in both axial directions (force to push and to pull). This guarantees a high function safety as well as exactly calculable and repetitive times required for the stroke.
Workpiece Clamping Elements - Hydraulic Cylinders - Hollow-piston Cylinders
Romheld - Model B1.7441 Series - Hollow-piston Cylinders
Hollow-piston cylinders are especially suitable for clamping workpieces that have a through hole or opening. The piston has a through hole with an internal thread. In connection with a standard tie rod and C-washer combination a variety of applications is possible (see application examples). After the workpiece has been inserted and centred by hand, the C-washer can be pushed onto the tie rod and then clamped hydraulically. Compared to mechanical clamping with clamping screws this has significant advantages: The clamping force can be hydraulically adjusted with precision and high repetitive accuracy. The operator can fully concentrate on the correct position of the workpiece. A significant time saving.
Workpiece Clamping Elements - Hydraulic Cylinders - Hydraulic Slides
Romheld - Model B1.7384 RM Series - Mini Slides Compact Block Cylinder
The RM mini slide is a compact block cylinder with 4 integrated guide rods which are also in the position to compensate side loads and moments. Threads can be provided in the front block for fixing of the working loads or tools. To avoid a possible point of squeezing between the front block and the cylinder the safety distance of 25 mm as per DIN EN 349 is maintained. The RM mini slides can certainly be delivery equipped with position monitoring by limit switches or inductive sensors.
Romheld - Model B1.7385 Series - RS Hydraulic Slides
The RS hydraulic slide is a compact hydraulic cylinder with 4 laterally-mounted guiding rods for compensation of high side loads and torques. A stable front plate is mounted on the guide rods and the piston rod, enabling the various tools to be securely fastened. The guide rods are made of high-tensile alloy steel and are chromium-plated. All other components are galvanized. The front block made of St37k is not corrosion protected to facilitate machining.
Workpiece Clamping Elements - Bore Clamps
Romheld - Model B1.481 Series - Bore Clamp
The bore clamp is particularly suitable for centring and clamping of workpieces with smoothly machined bores with diameters from 16 to 46 mm and a support surface square to the hole axis. The bore clamp is a combination of a double-acting pull-type cylinder equipped with a segment clamping bushing, which is pulled by a tie rod over a fixed cone. Thereby the segment clamping bushing expands radially to the bore diameter of the workpiece to be clamped. By the simultaneous axial movement the workpiece is clamped onto the hardened support at the housing. The obtainable low-clamping force depends on the factor of friction within the bore and the operating pressure.
