Aerosol Monitoring
RTS - Model RAM-01, RAM-31 and RAM-TF - Aerosol Monitoring System
RAM-01, RAM-31 and RAM-TF belong to the family of RTS air monitors, along with CAM/CCAM units, and other models, all employing advanced and well-tested technologies. All of them are presently equipped with the RTS MAB-03 monitoring processor allowing MCA analysis and multi-head configuration, coupled to the on-line ion implanted silicon detector. They may be used as mobile or fixed stand-alone instruments as well as peripheral stations in complex monitoring networks.
RTS - Model CAM / CCAM - Compact and Smart Radioactive Aerosol Monitoring Instruments
RTS CAM / CCAM family includes very compact and smart Radioactive Aerosol Monitoring Instruments dedicated to sample and measure the radioactive contamination in air, due to alpha and beta emitters, and to provide gamma dose-rate as adding information. To allow light weight and compactness, the relevant shielding and compensating functions are performed electronically by means of appropriate measuring procedures and algorithms.
Iodine Monitoring
RTS - Model RIM and CCIM Series - Iodine Monitoring System
When the RAM aerosol monitors are provided with a gamma measuring head, they are able to detect elemental iodine, attached to particles, but are practically insensitive to gaseous radioactive iodine. This can be measured by the RTS RIM models used as stand alone monitors or as monitoring units coupled to the aerosol equipment. The RIM monitors are real time, continuous measuring devices based on the gamma spectrometry method with NaI(Tl) detector.
Gas Monitoring
RTS - Model RGM-01, RGM-02, RGM-03 - Gas Monitoring System
Usually this refers to radioactive isotopes of noble gases, but may also concern radioactive isotopes of other gases. This is another type of radioactive contamination of air, not due to particulates. The task is to detect and measure this contamination and, eventually, identify the radioisotopes.
Liquid Monitoring
RTS - Model RWM-01 / UWM - Underwater Gamma Monitor System
The RTS RWM-01/UWM is a microprocessor controlled station for radiation monitoring in water by means of an underwater gamma probe.
RTS - Model SMU-03 - Microprocessor Controlled Station for Radiation Monitoring
The RTS SMU-03 is a microprocessor controlled station for radiation monitoring in water by means of an underwater gamma probe.
RTS - Model SMU-04 - Microprocessor Controlled Station for Radiation Monitoring
The RTS SMU-04 is a microprocessor controlled station for radiation monitoring in liquid pipes by means of a NaI(Tl) gamma probe.
Gamma Monitoring
RTS - Model LCU/LPU Series - Gamma Monitoring Systems
The RTS LCU-05 (wall), LCU-05M (wall compact), LCU-05R (rack) and LPU-05G Gamma Monitoring Units are modern multiprocessor-based radiation monitors. They can operate either as autonomous self-standing units or as peripherals in centralized networks. Coupled to the RTS Gamma Probes, they are suited for the control of dose-rate (or eventually exposure-rate) from background levels to even large fields that can be generated by accidental releases in nuclear plant or facilities and is specifically designed for area, gate and environmental monitoring, indoor as well as outdoor.
RTS - Model ENVIRAD Series - Smart GM Gamma Probes (IC Emulators)
The RTS ENVIRAD series includes compact, microprocessor-based, radiation monitoring units (‘smart probes’) for gamma dose-rate, some of them emulating ion chamber based monitors. They usually operate as peripheral devices in centralized networks or connected to a main processor. The ENVIRAD-01 is one of the so-called ‘ion chamber emulators’, suited for the measurement of dose-rate from background levels to large fields that can be generated by accidental releases in nuclear plant or facilities and is specifically designed for indoor area and process monitoring as well as for outdoor environmental monitoring.
Technology
RTS - Model SDA/DDA Series - Radiation Probes
The SDA/DDA series of radiation probes are based on scintillation detectors, with or without a second different detector, developed and manufactured by RTS. This family is employed in several applications when the use of a stabilized scintillator is needed. These applications include the RADNET stations of the US EPA, the RIM series of Iodine Monitors, the Gamma head (GAM-01) for the RAM-01NA or RAM-31NA Aerosol Monitors, the RGM and RWM/UWM series of gas and water monitoring units, some unit of the SMU series of smart Gamma Monitors.
