Apart from regular designs of dam gates, gate designers make unique designs of gates and dam gate seal for specific application and requirement. Rubber Concept has developed various moulds for different designs of rubber seal as per customer requirement. Rubber Concept also engages with gate designers at the time of development for better designs of Rubber dam gate seals.

Z type Rubber seals are used in radial gates. Z type rubber seal provide greater deflection, compared to stem seals. Various designs are available for variety of deflections and sealing. Rubber Concept specializes in PTFE (Teflon) cladding over sealing portion of Z-type rubber seal. PTFE cladding helps in reducing friction and improves durability of Z type Rubber Seal.

Double stem seals are generally used for high head, exceeding 30Mtrs. Double stem seals can be used as Top or Side rubber seal, sometimes as Bottom rubber seal too. Rubber Concept specializes in PTFE (Teflon) cladding over bulb portion of Double stem rubber seal. PTFE cladding helps rubber seal to retain its flexibility while maintaining its position between the clamp bar and seal plate, thus improving durability and life.

Flat seals are generally used as Bottom rubber seals for all types of gates and pressed against bottom sealing plate. They can be of wedge type or radius type too.

Rubber Concept specializes in PTFE (Teflon) cladding over sealing portion of Musical Note rubber seal, double stem seal or Z-type Rubber seal. PTFE cladding helps rubber seal to retain its flexibility while maintaining its position between the clamp bar and seal plate. PTFE cladding also reduces friction while movement of gate and tearing of rubbery portion by gate. Life of Rubber seal can be improved greatly by PTFE (Teflon) cladding over rubber seals.

All Materials do possess some acoustic properties, which are directly related to the composition of material. Materials with high porosity show better sound absorption properties. Rubber Concept has developed special Polyurethane foams for acoustic application.

Foam is a polymeric product that has been manufactured with foaming agent, which creates air-filled structured matrix. Air entrapment inside the foam serves various purposes such as insulation, elasticity/flexibility, shock-absorption (cushioning) etc. Depending on the types of polymer used, Rubber Concept foams can be classified as, Polyurethane foam, Nitrile foam, EPDM foam, Crosslinked PE (XLPE) foam.
