Leakage for the flap gates shall be restricted to 0.1 gpm/ft or less of the seal perimeter at the design seating head. 

The slide gates for this project shall be provided as specified and as shown in the Contract Documents. The gates shall be in compliance with the latest version of AWWA C562 as modified herein. 

Leakage for the hand-pull stop gates shall be restricted to 0.1 gpm/ft or less of the seal perimeter at the design seating head and the design unseating head. 

The stop log assemblies shall be provided as specified herein and as shown in the Contract Documents.  Individual stop logs shall be lowered into place with a lifting device and shall be used to control the flow or water level as required for the application.

Leakage for the shear gates shall be restricted to 0.1 gpm/ft or less of the seal perimeter at the design seating head and unseating head. Shear gates shall be designed to be suitable for the application and designed to handle 10-ft of seating head and 10-ft of unseating head as a minimum.  

A stainless steel sluice gate is defined herein as a heavy-duty gate with a four-sided seal system that is used to close off an orifice that experiences a maximum water level that can exceed the top of the orifice. A stainless steel slide gate is defined herein as a gate that has a three-sided seal system. The seals are positioned along the sides and across the invert of the opening. A stainless steel weir gate is a downward-opening slide gate.
