SAERTEX provides its customers with support throughout all phases of the value added chain – with engineering support as well, if required. Our engineers will deliver support for your engineering work. Our strengths primarily lie in the design and stress analysis of components that have previously been made of metal, but that are in future to be manufactured from plastic-reinforced materials. Composite applications in the shipbuilding, offshore (gas & oil) and transportation sectors are a particular focus of our work in this area.

SAERTEX also provides significant added value for the customers by producing, upon request, two or three-dimensional preforms made of non-crimp fabrics. We employ special cutting, stitching and binder fixation technologies – proven processes which we individually tailor to the requirements of our customers’ products. The use of our preforms helps organise our customers’ production processes more efficiently.

The SAERTEX testing laboratory for non-metallic materials has been certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) since 2013. Employees, facilities and procedures have been approved to GL standards for testing fibre-reinforced plastics. The available tests are not limited to static analyses such as tension, bending and ILSS testing – it is also possible to conduct  fatigue tests, measure the fibre resin content and analyse the drapability data of NCFs.

According to your specifications and on the basis of individual CAD drawings, we will precisely pre-cut the respective shapes using our cutting machine, so that they are available to you for direct further processing. At SAERTEX there is no “waste”. With our special nesting service we will ensure the most efficient use of your materials during the cutting process.

In 2002 SAERTEX entered the field of component manufacture with its factory in Stade’s “CFRP Valley”. In our 8,500m2 fully air-conditioned manufacturing facility our engineers develop individual composite solutions for our customers – active in the sectors of aerospace, offshore, shipbuilding and transportation for instance – from the initial idea right through to production standard.  The process depth and scope are defined jointly with our customers. We always keep the client’s technical specifications at the focus of our work. Solutions must be technically compelling and cost effective – and SAERTEX considers itself to be a provider of support to its customers. This is the SAERTEX philosophy in its purest form.
