The Smart LINC is an edge computing device processing the work of communicating with an instrument at the edge of the network rather than through the network. This network efficiency is critical during congested large gatherings and/or emergency situations. The Smart LINC is FirstNet Ready™, dust and waterproof, and rated Non-incentive Class I, Division 2, Group A-D locations.

The LINC is a small rugged sealed enclosure with an integrated GPS capable of transmitting meter/sensor readings and its location once per second for at least 14 hours using an interchangeable rechargeable battery or continuously through its USB port. 

The Smart-Ex LINC shares identical capabilities and the Smart LINC but is rated for Class I Division 1 locations.
