The STS Safe-6150AD simulator is a simulated radiation survey meter designed to aid the tuition of workers in the nuclear industry in safe practices and in understanding the nature and mechanics of ionising radiation. The instrument operates using an STS radio frequency detection head which detects the presence of a simulated radiation field, generated by the Safe-MiniSource, with the resultant reading displayed on the LCD Display of the instrument. The Safe-6150AD may be used in conjunction with the Dosi-Safe or Safe-EPD dosimeter simulators to provide a more in-depth training experience.

STS are pleased to announce that the Thermo RadEye(tm) G-10 and GF-10 Safe-Series simulators are now available as part of the Safe-Series simulation range.

STS GF-10 uses a real unmodified Thermo RadEye with the GM tube removed and the STS simulation circuit added. The STS circuit generates pulses from the radio signal received from the simulated source and send these pulses directly to the RadEye circuit outputting as a standard reading in Sv`s.

Developed by STS, the unit utilises STS Safe-Series technology to safely replicate radiation fields. The FH40G is available as a hand held unit or mounted on a telepole for distance working.

Unique to the STS range, the Dual FH40G Simulator offers users the ability to use either the internal simulated radiation detector; a radiation probe such as the FHZ512 or a contamination pancake probe such as the FHZ732. Utilises both STS Safe-Series technology to safely replicate radiation fields & also STS` proprietary gas sensing technology for simulation of contamination on surfaces.
