VER program success (at reducing emissions) is limited by how well the operator implements inventory, inspection, maintenance, and recordkeeping functions/ requirementsof the program. The VER Program Trained Operator Certification System (VERPTOCS) ensures a base quality level in VER Program implementation is achieved. Each VER trainee is issued a unique ID code that is needed to operate VEMS software modules or implement program inventory, inspection, maintenance, or other control program functions. This training certification guarantees a base level of experience for all VER program operators. Refresher training is required every 2 years. Notifications to VER Program operators are provided within 3 months of certification expiration, with a 3-month window after expiration available for renewal before deactivation.

2-day course on the specific VER program area (LDAR, Tanks Management, WWTCS, Cooling TowerHX, Flare Systems, or Loading, Combustion, and Other Sources) you choose. Covers all basic Training Program topics, including hands-on training with monitoring instruments/analyzers (such as Method 21 analyzers and Optical Gas Imaging cameras), field data collection devices, and other inspection instrumentation as appropriate. The training will also include a module on local VOC regulations specific to the VER program topic, where control requirements will be summarized and reviewed with participants.

3-day course. Covers all Essentials Training topics on the specific VER program area selected, plus an additional day with tour of a local refining/petrochemical facility and a field demonstration with hands-on training. Topics will also include inspection and monitoring techniques for various VOC source/equipment types, source inventory tracking/tagging issues, and database management system issues.

3-day course. Covers all Essentials Training topics on the specific VER program area selected, plus an additional day covering program typical implementation/compliance issues, QA/QC techniques, recent regulatory developments review, and special topics based on participant subject matter knowledge and other emerging issues.

4-day course covering all Experts Training topics on the specific VER program area selected, plus an additional day with tour of a local refining/petrochemical facility and field demonstration/hands-on training on inspection and monitoring techniques for the specific VER program areasource types, source inventory tracking issues, and database management system issues.

2-day classroom and hands-on field course demonstrating the ThermoFisherTVA 1000B, FLIR GF320, HiFlow™ Sampler, Archer, iSafe-28, and other VOC emissions monitoring and data collection devices.
