Demineralizers
SAITA - Model CDD Series - Ion Exchange Resins Demineralizers
Used to filter mildly acid waters. Resin demineralizers with four filtration columns of twin anion resin columns: strong and weak. The CDD Series demineralizers are complete with digital conductivity meter to check the quality of the output water, and controlled by hydropneumatic valves to wash and regenerate the ion exchange resins.
SAITA - Model Duplex Series - Automatic Double Line Demineralizers
Demineralizers in a double line (one working and the other one stand-by), used for 24h production lines to guarantee the continuous production or recycling of demineralized water. When the operating line is exhausted, the second line kicks in, allowing the first one to be regenerated without stopping water production.
Vacuum Evaporators
SAITA - Model CVD Series - Vacuum Evaporators With Internal Scraper
The CVD Series heat pump evaporators are fitted with an internal scraper (self-cleaning system) and heating jacket applied on the outside of the boiling chamber where Freon gas is circulating. They are applied to treat waste water solutions which contain pollutants as oils, salts, metals, colloids, dyes or process raw materials. The treatment with the CVD Series evaporators allows obtaining very high concentration ratios, so that a thick fluid or shovelable dry residue can be obtained as concentrated fraction. The range of heat pump CVD models goes from an hourly production of distilled water of 5 l/h up to a maximum of 150 l/h.
SAITA - Model EVFT Series - Single and Multi-Effect Vacuum Evaporators
The EVFT Series single- and multi-effect vacuum evaporators use, as heating liquid, hot water or steam that supplies a heat exchanger that can vary according to the solution that has to evaporate (shell and tube, with U tubes or plates). The condensation of the steam generated in the boiling chamber is guaranteed by cold water (evaporation tower) or refrigerated. In multi-effect evaporators, the solution is heated in the first effect, steam condenses in the second where the water to be treated evaporates and so on. A degree of vacuum corresponding to the vapour pressure required for boiling at a lower temperature is applied in each effect following the first. This principle allows reducing the consumption connected with the evaporation process considerably. SAITA produces single-, double- or triple-effect modular evaporators. Double-effect evaporators (2EV) allow saving 50% of the energy demand (calories supplied by hot water or steam), while triple-effect ones (3EV) reach even 66%.
Membrane Filtration
Model MF Series - Microfiltration Plants
Micro-filtration is applied to remove suspended solid particles in well or pre-treated waste water (e.g. in chemical-physical plants). It is most used as pre-filtration of reverse osmosis modules or as filtration of process baths. Wire-wound cartridges, melt-blown cartridges, ceramic membranes or capillary membranes can be used as filtration modules.
Chemical-Physical Plant
Model CF Series - Continuous Chemical Physical Plants
The CF Series chemical-physical continuous systems are characterized by a separation between diluted and concentrated waste water. Diluted waste water is balanced and sent to the chemical reaction section that includes many tanks in sections where chemical reagents are added. Reactions are controlled with digital instruments for the continuous measurement of the pH (or Redox). The concentrated waste water is stored separately and metered at controlled flow rate to the reaction tanks, to guarantee a balanced flow of pollutants to purify.
Filtration Systems
SAITA - Model QC Series - Water Filtration Systems
Systems consisting of pressure filters using the following filtration materials: selected grain size quartz sand and activated granular carbon. Used for the recycling of process water, treatment of well and mains drinking water and final filtration of pre-treated water before its discharge.
Oil Separators
SAITA - Model DIS01 Series - Coalescence Oil Separator
The coalescence oil separator mod. DIS01 consists of a stainless steel tank divided into three sections and having a volume of 700 litres. The partitions dividing the three sections separate the water from the oils on the surface. In fact, the central section is fitted with a coalescence lamellar packing for the separation of surface oil that is discharged via an overflow pipe on the exposed surface. This model can be equipped with accessories such as: collection tank of the de-oiled liquid, booster pump of the de-oiled liquid, fittings for internal flushing and top cover.
Sludge Filtration
SAITA - Model Filterpress - Sludge Treatment and Filtration
Filter presses are used mainly in chemical-physical or biological systems to separate the solid contents from water in order to recover the water and reduce the volume of waste to dispose of. In fact filter presses produce easily disposable dry blocks of sludge. An industrial waste water filter press has a pump that injects the sludge into the Filter press via the feeding head. Filtration is guaranteed by a pack of polypropylene plates coupled with filtering cloths. The chambers created between the plates are filled with sludge.
