Weak acid cation (WAC) exchange resin is a type of ion exchange resin with carboxylic acid functional groups (RCOO–). Similar to strong acid cation (SAC) exchange resins, WAC resins swap cations for hydrogen ions, resulting in slightly greater acidity in the treated stream,used for Industrial Demineralization, Softening, and Dealkalization Applications. CM113 is a premium grade, macropOrous weak acid cation exchange resin, supplied in hydrogen (H) form.Its ionic functionality is derived from the carboxylic group,which is easily converted to the hydrogen form.It also has a high affinity for divalent ions.
