The FSM Filterscreen is a perforated plate belt filter screen with over 1500 installations worldwide since 1987. While FSM has used various companies all over the world to market this screen, only an FSM manufactured screen comes with the high quality and newest enhanced design features.

The Center Flow screen is designed to eliminate debris carry over to the downstream side. Wastewater enters the center of the screen frame and is screened as it flows from the inside to the outside through both sides of the perforated filter panels. Screening and discharge all take place inside the screen frame assembly. The screen panels and side seals are designed to prevent bypass. Independent, verified testing certifies that the FSM Center Flow screen has an 84% capture with 6 mm perforated openings.

This high capture screen is the opposite of a center flow screen design.  In the FSM Dual Flow screens from an Outside-In direction.  Debris is captured on the outside of the continuous, “U” shaped screen belt.  The screen frame is positioned in the channel with the screen surfaces facing the walls of the channel.   Wastewater is diverted toward the sides of the channel and flows through the screen panels.  Debris is captured on the screen panels and the screened wastewater flows toward the inside of the frame and out the back.

The FSM SR04 is a pressurized, closed screening system that is installed inline and fed by pumped flow or an elevated tank.  The system can be fed and operated continuously or intermittently.  It is used to screen municipal and industrial sludges as well as process water in a variety of industries.

The advanced design of the MultiRake Coarse bar screen enables this screen to handle more gross debris, more efficiently while keeping mechanical complexity and maintenance to a minimum.

The MultiRake Fine Bar Screen gives wastewater treatment plants the ability to remove finer debris at the headworks.  A minimum of six rakes, depending on the size of the screen, clean the bars resulting in greater capture and reduced headloss. This fine bar screen followed by the Flo-Drum rotating screen are being used worldwide as two-stage MBR pre-treatment systems.

The traditional single angle design of the FSM MultiRake bar screen is engineered for strength and durability.  Most often this screen is used as the first stage in two or three stage screening applications.   The FSM Bar Screen captures the large debris in order to protect more sensitive downstream pre-treatment equipment. 

SAVI’s internally-fed rotating drum screen has been engineered for high performance and low maintenance.  These screens have no running seals which means no by pass.  They are used extensively in pumped flow MBR applications for this reason.  Trunnions, spray bar and brush can be easily accessed via individual maintenance ports without removing the covers or screen cylinder. The 5° angle of inclination and full dewatering flights provide longer retention time  and promote the capture of fine debris.

The DrumSieve screen with stainless steel wedgewire media has a unique advantage – a very small footprint relative to the high flow rates and debris loading it can handle.  Municipal and industrial customers have found it to be one of the most flexible screens to install.

The WashPress Shafted Washer Compactor incorporates screenings washing and dewatering in a single unit.  The clean, dewatered screenings can be discharge directly to a dumpster or continuous bagger device for ease of handling and disposal. Mechanical complexity is kept to a minimum.  With low maintenance, single auger design and efficient drive system, this unit significantly reduces maintenance requirements and downtime.
