Schermann Mirasan Green - Hydrochloric Acid-Free Cleaning Agent for Drinking Water Tanks
Mirasan® Green is a specialized cleaning agent designed for the maintenance of drinking water tanks, with a formulation free from hydrochloric acid. It is particularly beneficial for use in stainless steel installations due to its composition of organic and inorganic acids, along with wetting agents and inhibitors. This ensures effective and safe cleaning without damaging sensitive materials. The product is applied after preliminary cleaning of the tank to remove any sludge or sand, and can be used undiluted for heavily soiled areas or diluted up to 1:20 for regular maintenance. Its application with a low-pressure sprayer enhances efficiency, while a telescopic lance allows for easy reach. Post-cleaning, a pH test ensures thorough rinsing, and products like Ferro Plus and Mirasan® PEROX can be used for specific contaminants and disinfection needs. The biodegradable nature of Mirasan® Green mandates extensive rinsing to prevent microorganism growth. Important safety measures include using protective clothing and appropriate disposal of the rinse solution.
Schermann Mirasan - Additive for Dissolving Iron and Manganese Deposits in Water Tanks
Ferro Plus is an additive specifically designed for use with Mirasan products, aimed at effectively dissolving iron and manganese deposits within drinking water tanks. The product operates on the principle of oxygen reduction, significantly easing the maintenance process by eliminating the need for manual scrubbing with brushes. To use, dissolve one can of Ferro Plus in five litres of water and incorporate it into the stock solution. It is important to note that while Ferro Plus enhances the function of Mirasan products, it does not dilute them. Packaged in a disposable plastic can exempted from ARA requirements, Ferro Plus maintains its efficacy for 3 to 5 years if stored unopened. After opening, the can should be well-sealed, with the contents used within 12 months. Once dissolved, the solution remains effective for only 5 days.
Mirasan - Neutralisation After Cleaning Tanks
After chemical cleaning with Mirasan all walls, columns, and the floor of the tank are flushed with drinking water. The largely spent product will be strongly diluted through the flushing process and can be collected in in the collection basin upstream of the discharge opening of the tank. Subsequently, the spraying water will be tested for its actual pH with the enclosed indicator paper.

Mirasan TWR is a specialized cleaning agent formulated for the maintenance of drinking water installations. The product comprises a combination of organic and inorganic acids, wetting agents, and inhibitors, targeting residue buildup in tanks. Effective for initial cleaning, Mirasan TWR can be applied undiluted, while subsequent treatments permit dilution up to a 1:20 ratio with water. For enhanced efficiency, this cleaner is recommended to be applied using specialized equipment such as a Miramat low-pressure sprayer and a telescopic spray lance, reducing the need for scaffolding. The cleaning process involves rinsing with water to ensure neutral pH levels and can be augmented with the additive Ferro Plus for tackling iron and manganese deposits. Products are biodegradable, necessitating thorough rinsing to prevent microbe colonization. Safety protocols recommend the use of protective gear and adherence to operational instructions to mitigate structural damage and operational risks.
