Spraying and Coating System

Manual Spray Booths

As well as a standard range of open faced dry backed spray booths, we also offer industrial open spray booths and spray shops to individual customer requirements. Integration of drying systems into spray shops is a viable project. Both hot and cold filtered air replacement units can easily be integrated into existing factory zones.

Enclosed Spray Booths

Our complete enclosed spray shops allow the spray area to be isolated from the main production zone, creating a clean, dust-free environment in which to spray. Air pressure is controlled and regulated either manually or fully automatically. Clean filtered air brought into the spray zone via separate fan sets and ducting. Air make-up systems can either take factory air or external air supplies.

Overhead/Hanging Vertical Finishing Systems

Schuberts are able to offer turnkey installations for the GRP, joinery, hardwood flooring and allied markets, integrating various manual or automatic wet application systems, overhead conveyors and our own Catalytic IR drying and curing technology. Typical systems can be for priming individual components, base coating assembled pieces and then a decorative joinery painted topcoats.

Epistolio Robotic Spray Systems

Schuberts install anthropomorphous robots from EPISTOLIO Robots for the automatic application of paints, lacquers and powders across all industry sectors.Epistolio Robots are available in five axis models with direct self-learning programming or more sophisticated six axis models with point-to-point programming, self-learning, off line or external control systems. Data logging, trending programming and robot integration into existing systems is also available from Schuberts. Both five and six axis Epistolio robots are available in full ATEX specification for hazardous location use.

Drying and Curing System

Schubox® - Catalytic Infrared Drying Oven

The most used and widely recognised IR catalytic drying system around the world - "Experience that counts". Comprises of easy to assemble insulated fire-check panels forming a box, with highly reflective stainless steel interior, fitted where applicable, with ATEX compliant flameless catalytic infra red panels. NB. We use a range of catalytic emitters that carry full CE and the new ATEX certification for use in hazardous locations (zone 1 and zone 2) Each Schubox® drying oven is fitted with a roof mounted air filter to ensure clean factory air is drawn into it. Different door options available - Sliding, hinged and bi-fold. Schubox® recirculation fan set can be standard, full ATEX rated or EX internals depending on type of coating used.

Schubox® - Infrared Catalytic Drying System for Industrial Coating

We are able to manufacture our Schubox® systems to suit individual customer requirements. Whatever your footprint, production rate, surface coating type, we will design a Schubox® to suit.

Schubox® - Catalytic IR Drying System

A more cost-effective solution, specifically designed for curing stains and base coats on all substrates, across industry, the Schubox Lite takes the same principle and technology as the full Schubox® system, is fabricated from single skin galvanised panels and measures 2m wide, 3m long and 2.5m high as standard.

Kit Cat® - Infrared Gas Catalytic Emitters

The Kit Cat® system provides a range of longwave RETRO FIT INFRARED gas catalytic emitters for rapid drying and curing of liquid finishes in a kit form, which allows easy and inexpensive retrofitting to existing finishing shops, tunnels and general manufacturing areas.
NB. For the Kit Cat® retro fit infrared systems, we use a range of gas catalytic emitter panels that carry full CE (EU) and ATEX (EU) certification for use in hazardous locations and ltd areas.

Curing Tunnel Solutions

Catalytic infrared technology curing wet coatings in a fraction of the time compared to hot air systems Catalytic IR can be also used as the main curing medium in powered tunnel systems. Either horizontal or vertical, the catalytic IR technology will cure wet coatings in a fraction of the time compared to hot air systems. Drying tunnel systems can be supplied either as an integrated part of a complete line, as a bolt-on to an existing system or even retro-fitted to an existing line.
