Wind Profilers - Radar Wind Profilers - LAP Series
Scintec - Model LAP 3000 Series - Standard Antenna Radar Wind Profiler
This is the standard model of the LAP 3000 Radar Wind Profilers for reliable and continuous wind measurements up to a height of 4 km above the ground with proven performance. The integrated clutter screen yields optimum ground-clutter suppression and ensures safety by shielding the RF radiation. Multiple radio-frequency variants are available for use in different frequency allocation regions worldwide.
Scintec - Model LAP 3000 Series - Large Antenna Radar Wind Profiler
The larger antenna aperture of 6.7 m² of this LAP®3000 Radar Wind Profiler model provides the highest performance and clutter resilience that the most critical applications demand for reliable and continuous wind measurements up to a height of 5 km above the ground. The integrated clutter screen yields optimum ground-clutter suppression and ensures safety by shielding the RF radiation. Multiple radio-frequency variants are available for use in different frequency allocation regions worldwide.
Wind Profilers - Sodar Wind Profilers - FAS Series
Scintec - Model SFAS Series - Flat Array Sodar Compact Acoustic Profiler
The Scintec SFAS is a very compact acoustic profiler for the measurement of wind and turbulence up to 500 m above the ground. The operation is based on the reflection of acoustic pulses at temperature inhomogeneities in the air with subsequent doppler analysis. The instrument can replace towers, tethered balloons or radiosondes at a fraction of the operational costs. With its small size and low weight, the system can be easily transported and installed. Its low power consumption also facilitates the unmanned operation in remote areas.
Scintec - Model MFAS Series - Flat Array Sodar Acoustic Profiler
The Scintec MFAS is a versatile acoustic profiler for the measurement of wind and turbulence up to 1000 m above the ground.
Temperature Profilers - RASS for Radar Wind Profilers
Scintec - Rass Extension for LAP3000
This RASS Extension adds the capability for measuring temperature profiles to a LAP3000 Radar Wind Profiler.
Temperature Profilers - RASS for Sodar Wind Profilers
Scintec - Model RAE2 - RASS Extension
The Scintec RAE2 RASS Extension upgrades any Sodar models (SFAS, MFAS or XFAS) to allow precise measurements of temperature profiles in the atmospheric boundary layer. The temperature data is retrieved by remotely measuring the speed of sound which is a function of the temperature. This is done by Doppler analysis of the frequency of radio waves which have been reflected at acoustic waves emitted by the Sodar.
Surface Turbulence Sensors - Large Aperture Scintillometers
Scintec - Model BLS450 Neo - Large Aperture Scintillometer
The Scintec BLS450 Neo measures atmospheric turbulence and heat flux over path lengths between 100 m (with Path Reduction Aperture, otherwise 500 m) and 6000 m. As part of a meteorological station it can also be used to determine the evapotranspiration over extended areas.
Scintec - Model BLS900 - Large Aperture Scintillometer
The Scintec BLS900 Neo measures atmospheric turbulence, heat flux and crosswind over path lengths between 100 m (with Path Reduction Aperture, otherwise 500 m) and 6000 m. As part of a meteorological station it can also be used to determine the evapotranspiration over extended areas.
Surface Turbulence Sensors - Laser Scintillometers
Scintec - Model SLS20 ES - Surface Layer Scintillometer
The Scintec SLS20 ES Scintillometer measures turbulence, heat flux and momentum flux by purely optical means. In combination with other meteorological sensors the system can determine latent heat flux or evaporation.
Scintec - Model SLS20-A ES - Surface Layer Scintillometer
The Scintec SLS20-A ES Scintillometer measures turbulence, heat flux and momentum flux by purely optical means. In combination with other meteorological sensors the system can determine latent heat flux or evaporation.
