Sembmarine SLP has many years’ experience of constructing helidecks for the oil and gas industry, for new build platforms, upgrades and complete replacements of existing helidecks on aging assets.

Sembmarine SLP’s first objective with regards to offshore hook-up and commissioning is to maximise onshore pre-commissioning, which in turn allows minimal offshore hook up and commissioning hours. This approach has safety benefits due to enhanced control over the activities along with distinct cost advantages.

Sembmarine SLP not only provides new build platforms, its Offshore Group also carries out modifications to existing (brownfield) offshore facilities in any location worldwide.

Sembmarine SLP are experts with over 40 years of experience in the field of Fabrication, and their Offshore Group are able to utilise this experience and oversee any smaller offshore fabrication project requirements. Our skilled team are well-practiced in the fabrication of structural or piping items or a combination of the two in Pre-Assembled Units (PAU), as well as being qualified to weld anything from regular to high grade carbon steels through to exotic materials such as stainless steel, duplex and super duplex, cunifer and titanium alloys.

Sembmarine SLP’s Offshore Services Group is ideally located to manage decommissioning projects in the North Sea. Our extensive experience installing jackets and topsides has provided us with the experience and capability to engineer down aging assets at end of life.

With a complete package of operational maintenance support, we cover planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and unplanned corrective maintenance activities. Supplement this with regular predictive ‘whole platform’ maintenance inspections, and you have our innovative, flexible approach. We understand the importance of recording the past to protect the future. That’s why we keep note of inspections both in report and photographic form to provide assistance with preventative care.
