Wastewater

SFC - Model C-Mem - Organic Fibres for Ultra and Micro Filtration

C-MEM is a technology for ultra- and micro- filtration of wastewater of any kind, whereby organic hollow fibres with micro-pores (pore size < 0.2µm) are used as filtration medium. The hollow fibres have outside diameters between 0.3 -0.5 mm, depending on application. In order to obtain sufficient surface area and to allow constant flux rates several hundred fibres are combined to bundles and wound up around a carrier cartridge. The carrier cartridge has a suction connection for filtered water and an air pressure inlet connection for air scouring. The C-MEM cartridge protects the membranes by preventing mechanical load and also optimizes air scouring. Several cartridges can be combined to modules, which are submerged and directly installed in the basin.

SFC - Model C-Tech - Cyclic Activated Waste Water Treatment Process

The C-TECH Technology is an advancement of the sequenced batch reactor technology (SBR technology) for wastewater treatment. The difference to conventional SBR technologies lies in the application of an anaerobic selector, which suppresses the growth of bacteria that cause sludge bulking, and in the internal recyling of the biomass of a main reactor zone in this selector. A further feature that distinguishes the C-TECH Technology from conventional SBR technologies is simultaneous carbon oxidation and nitrification / denitrification in one basin. This allows for shorter cycle times as well as the omission of a separate denitrification cycle. Hence, no mixers for denitrification are necessary.

SFC - Model C-ION - Removal of Trace Substances

Anthropogenic trace substances are chemical compounds that serve the health, the convenience and the welfare of mankind in almost all sectors of life such as drugs, personal care products, cleaning agents, disinfectants etc. However, at the same time they are also organic pollutants, which get into the water cycle by and via man respectively. Unfortunately, their harmful effects are largely unknown: very small quantities of these trace substances, which also include x-ray contrast agents, industrial chemicals, detergent ingredients, food additives and pesticides, may have a negative impact on aquatic organisms and man.

SFC - Model MBBR - Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor Technology

MBBR Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor Technology is one of SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH´s methods for treating industrial and municipal wastewater as well as for further cleaning of already treated sewage and/or water.

Drinking Water

SFC - Model C-MEM - Ultrafiltration Technology

C-MEM is an ultra-filtration technology for the treatment and disinfection of drinking water. The filtration is done via micro-pores (average pore size 20.1 nm – sterile filtration) in hollow fibres with diameters of 0.3 – 0.5 mm. Several hundred hollow fibres are combined to bundles and wound up in cartridges.

SFC - Model C-Floc - Contact Flocculation

C-FLOC is a process for removing colloid particles from water by flocculation and sedimentation. The process takes place in 4 steps, each in an individual chamber and therefore at optimum mixing conditions and ripening periods, whereby the colloids are first transformed into micro-flocs and then into macro-flocks, which can be separated from the water very well.

SFC - Model C-MEM Zero - Portable Gravity Driven System

C-MEM Zero is a portable gravity driven system for drinking water treatment without electric power and without the application of chemicals, which is based on the C-MEM hollow fibre membrane filtration.
