We realised that storage and filtration was only a temporary measure to achieve high quality water services in Ireland. With a growing population creating high demand on existing plants, water quality declined in some areas.After extensive research the company launched Rainman in 2004. We believe Rainman is a high quality product that delivers on an alternative water source for recycling in any market sector which is at a reasonable cost and is low in maintenance.

The Storage Tank system can be used for a wide range of applications including: Water storage reservoirs, aeration tanks, clarifier/settlement tanks, SBR tanks, anoxic tanks, picket fence thickener tanks, slurry storage tanks. The system comes with capacities ranging from 35 cubic metres (7,700 gallons) to 15,000 cubic metres (3.30 million gallons) depending on the requirement.

A Precast Concrete Box Culvert, an easily-installed conduit used to enclose small roads, pathways or flowing water (e.g. streams, stormwater or drains) passing beneath roads, railways or embankments. Shay Murtagh Precast is one of the largest producers of precast concrete box culverts in the UK and Ireland. With our modern and mechanised box culvert production facilities, we can produce over 60 metres of culvert section per day.  We manufacture a range of standard stock size box culverts but most units we design and manufacture to meet individual project specifications. This allows us complete flexibility and enables us to manufacture culverts that can accommodate any situation.

HexLok is a composite system of interlocking prefabricated concrete units with soil tensile reinforcement and backfill, designed for the reinforcement of earth retaining structures and bridge abutments. HexLok is a simple yet robust solution comprised of soil reinforcing elements, backfilled to provide optimal soil stability. The structure is faced with hexagonally shaped concrete panels which are connected to the steel reinforcements and lock together seamlessly to produce a clean geometric pattern. Each panel is made using our bespoke HexLok moulds and reinforced with steel rebar to ensure optimum strength.

GridLok is a complete soil reinforcement system which uses steel mesh panels and inextensible steel soil reinforcements to create steep slopes and near-vertical walls. Comprised of steel mesh face panels interlaced with horizontal tensile bars, Gridlok is an effective method of soil reinforcement. Reinforced soil slopes are generally in the range of 60°-70° and upon completion can be given a vegitative surface. The greened finish is normally provided by hand seeding the topsoil during filling or hydroseeding the finished structure.
